I'm confused

Contributor: Cutesy Cutesy
So i literally just signed up and i've been skimming through quite a few threads hoping to understand how the review program works a little better but all i've done is confuse myself.
Could someone clear things up for me pretty please? I don't understand what all the fuss is about in some threads.. i got, point farming, decreased activity in the forums, changes to the points system? I'm very confused now about how things work. Can advanced level reviewers still request assignments and receive a toy to review for free? or is it only 15% off?

As for the assignments thing, I'm not sure, I honestly hardly request free assignments since those are harder to come-by. Otherwise, there is a buy-out assignment that is 30% off.

The forums are going through a pretty rough transition right now, but I do hope that you stick around!

here's a link that explains the Review Prg.

link

here's more Review Prg. info that may or may not apply to you - the pink hyperlinks about in the center of the page

link

advanced reviewers can request a free monthly assignment, but it's been very selective who gets an assignment for some time now. and, getting a monthly assignment isn't really all that simple anyway.

the forum is full of discussions & posts about the upheaval that began last June & the continuing eruptions since - that's the short & sweet of them.

if you have any further questions, feel free to post my wall or send me a personal message/PM. ^_^

Edeneve gave you a lot of good info and I will just try to help add to it. And if you have more questions, you can contact her, or me, or post another discussion, whatever you like, OK? I know it's confusing right now and don't worry about all the stuff regarding the upheaval and point farming, etc. As it stands now, many people left and participation is down. However, some stayed and there are new people all the time. Right now, the person we used to contact to help us and who moderated the forums, Ansley, no longer works here (she was called Stormy at the time, but changed the name after leaving). We have not had any announcements from Eden on what's happening, so we just know we can try to contact Ilya through a PM (private message), or email and hope to get answers to any troubles with the community stuff which is the forum and reviews. The store side of things we can use support tickets or call for the customer service person who will answer those (but not if they are questions about reviews or the forum).

Edeneve supplied the links for you about reviews, but here's some more info. You may request a mentor who works with you to improve your reviews and to answer any questions you have about the site:

Mentor List - where you can see them and request an available mentor

Until people reach a high enough rank, any reviews they submit will have to be edited (really means proofread and checked for plagiarism) before they get published and then you can receive your points for it. Just to clarify, only items bought from Edenfatasys will earn points if you review them, other reviews can still be posted as long as there is a product page for the item, no matter where you bought it, but you won't get points for that review (though it still helps your rank).

About points...your points can be used for a maximum of 15% of you order total after all discounts and sales. So, no matter how many points you have, you can't use more than 15% of you total order. For example, if you get things on sale and the total is $80, you can use $12 in points as a special discount on top of all the others! Then you only pay the remaining $68 yourself. If you have less than the maximum, in this example, the $12 (1200 points), you simply can use as many as you have.

Now, here is where it gets even more amazing...once you reach advanced status, you can do what's called a Buy Out. That means you can get 30% off your order, but you are then required to write a review on all the items you received at 30% off (this is 30% off the regular price, not a sale price.)

I hope this helps you and, again, ask more questions on this thread, start a new discussion, or ask someone through their wall (on their profile page you can leave messages that anyone can see) or a PM. Welcome!!

You can get 15% off your order by turning your points into gift cards.

For assignments: Advanced reviewers can get 1 free assignment each month, though it may take several tries before one goes through. At that level you can also get up to 6 products at 30% off as a "buy out assignment".

Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else.

just to add to the info about the mentor program. once you graduate from the mentor program, the key here, you will become an advanced reviewer.
