What do you consider most important - Dildo/Vibrator Reviews

Contributor: Emma (Girl With Fire) Emma (Girl With Fire)
If you had to choose three factors which are the most important for you when choosing a Vibrator or Dildo, what would they be? What important factor do you find is most often missing from these reviews.

The 2 factors I consider to be the most important are:

Size - if it's long, does it add anything other than depth of penetration (positioning possibilities/restrict ions, a better grip, etc), if it's short, does it result in a lack of stimulation blah blah

Power - Strength but also type of vibration, strong is good but I prefer lower vibrations as opposed to the higher buzzy ones. It is important to have something to relate the power rating to, this can make a HUGE difference in what you consider a 2 or a 5.
(In a dildo, I want to know about the base instead of the power)

Material - I want to know all of the ups and downs of the material without having to ferret them out elsewhere.

Informative topic breakdown of Vibrating dildos:

Vibrator V. Dildo - which?
which do you prefer the most?

Why choose a dildo over a vibrator?
Our first experience with sex toys was with an ugly beige vibrator that came to a pointed tip that we got from Spencer's Gifts. This was about 30...

What color vide/dildo do you seem to be the most attracted too?
I am always more attracted to colored toys opposed to flesh colored ones, and I noticed through the videos of toys that I am not the only one.I looked.

What do you like better, vibrators or dildos?
I was kind of curious here, so there are the options and reasons. Post below if there's something I didn't ask.

Similar dildos?
Anybody know of any other strap-ons that allow for dual and separate vibration control?

The information I find is missing the most in these reviews is information on the quality of craftsmanship. ESPECIALLY in vibrator reviews. How well attached are the materials to each other, is the transition seamless? ragged? Are Adhesives evident, are the contacts inside the battery compartment high quality, or cheaply made? Do you think I need to be careful with my toy? or will it be fine if I toss it off the side of the bed onto a hardwood floor?

The major factor for me which is most often missing from reviews is the "squish" factor of silicone vibes and dils (which is the material that we migrate toward). There is a HUGE difference in how hard they can be, and with dildos in particular I like them a little squishy on the surface.

For vibrators, I look for reviews that tell me the type of vibes it has (rumbly vs. buzzy), which is something else that is often missing. I like to know how strong it is too, but like you said it needs to be elaborated on a little further than a reviewer just saying "it's strong."

I think that power is really important and I find it so helpful when a few comparisons are included.

But the material is also very important to me. I need different textures for different things.

It seems like we have pretty similar ideas. Thanks for answering
