Is the 48 hour mark still accurate?

Contributor: T&A1987 T&A1987
I applied to be a mentor almost three days ago. I don't mean to sound impatient, but it said 48 hours and if that's no longer accurate (like in the editing program) I would like to know please. Thank you for any help.

Well, I honestly never count Monday for the staff here. They have so much to catch up on from weekend emails and the like, I just don't even count Monday as one of the work days. So if you sent in your application on Monday, I wouldn't count that as part of the 48 hours, personally.

I can't really remember how long it took me to be approved as a mentor, so sorry I can't be more helpful than that!

We try to look at the list every day for Mentor requests. But, as indiglo stated, Mondays can be pretty hectic. If you don't hear from us by Tuesday for something you sent in late Friday and through the weekend, please send that staffer a friendly reminder email.

Congrats on making mentor!

Thank you very much for checking on this. I wasn't trying to be a bother, I just didn't know if they changed formats the way they did for editor, without changing the message (editor I think still says 72 hours). Again, thanks.
