#AskEden - Buyout Assignments

Contributor: PropertyOfPotter PropertyOfPotter
I was trying to find the rules about buyout assignments and I can't seem to find anything on it. Can you request a buyout for any product, or does it have to only have a certain number of reviews in order to be accepted??

Any product you wish. As long as you don't have a previous buy out that needs reviewed or an overdue assignment.

You can request one on anything you like and it gets immediately auto-approved by the system.

You can request a buyout on any product that is not out of stock or not listed with a price yet (ie super new things that are on the site, but not available for purchase.) You can request up to 5 items for buyout at a time, but you have to finish all previous buyouts (your last 'batch' of buyouts) before you request any more.

There is the normal month deadline on buyout reviews, the same way with monthly reviews. You can request all buyouts in the assignment cart. Have fun!

Wow...thank you all for being so helpful!

If I request a buyout on a product that's on sale, is the 30% still off from the origional price?

You can request anything you wish, but you must complete any buyouts you have before requesting another.

I don't think that there's a limit as to how many buyouts you can request at a time. I've done 10+ at a time...though I would never recommend that anyone take on that many, due to the deadline.

I always thought it was 6, but I guess not. You are right though, if you don't review 10 items within a month, don't buy out that many items. They are all due at the same time.

AHHH panic!!!

I requested two buyout assignments, and thought I had my order all together when I realized (after I submitted everything, oc course!) That I had forgotten something! I cancelled my order and went to add all of my items back into my cart and I can't do that with the buyouts!!!!! I'm panicking!!! I submitted a support ticket, but I'm freaking out.

Don't panic. Email Jr. If there is any issue with any assignment; Jr is your man. He deals with all of that. He will cancel the assignment so you can redo it. If you submitted a support ticket, he will get to you.

Thank you Beck! I'm so afraid of screwing up, it's crazy! I did submit a support ticket, should I also email, or call it good?

Call it good. Jr will respond to a support ticket too. It just might take a little longer. Usually email go right to him and he answer almost right away. Support ticket goes to someone who forwards it to him. So he will get it.

Yesterday was Monday, and they're very busy on Mondays as well trying to do all the work that comes in over the weekend when they're off so I'm sure he will get to you soon.

Great answers everyone!

Mondays are usually pretty busy, but we still get to emails and service tickets, it just might be a little longer.
