I would like some Feed back from any members involved in the product review program...

Is it worth the time you put into your reviews. And is it hard to upgrade to advanced status.

Just for curiousity because i stumbled across this and it has piqued my interest. Thank you in advanced. SxyGirl694

Participating in EF Review Program you get a chance to try new toys for free and share your opinion with the experienced community. Is there any better way to discover the world of sex toys and own sexuality?

If you write three good reviews you can be upgraded though votes, however there aren't usually many advanced reviewers that vote. The easiest way to be upgraded is to complete a class in the mentor program. After you submit two to three reviews to your mentor, they are able to either upgrade your review status for you, request additional reviews, or if they feel it necessary fail you - at which point you'd need to try again with another mentor. Hope that helps!

It's definitely worth the time to write a review on an item you enjoy playing with. Sometimes it's hard though not to be too judgmental of a toy that doesn't always work for you or your partner. However, when writing reviews you have to base your rating and opinion on whether you think the toy will work for someone else differently, or if it's just a faulty toy overall that no one else will find any use for either. So I guess, reviews take a lot of work, but for the free items you get for review the good usually outweighs the bad, and as Lena stated it really helps you explore your sexual boundaries, likes and dislikes.

My partner and I have learned a lot about each other through our intimacy, and it really does get conversations going that you might not otherwise engage in. So yes, reviewing and buying toys is definitely worth it!

Also I'd like to add that reviewing items of ANY kind really helps you improve your writing skills, which you can apply elsewhere in life.

Agree w/ Lvstoplay, the mentor program is a great way to become an advanced reviewer, get toys through the program, have a connection in the existing reviewer pool to get feedback on how to improve your reviews.

I've found sometimes reviewing a toy will force me to examine it more closely and consider alternative uses, that I might not otherwise try... which has been good.

My girlfriend and I have tried many products we might not have otherwise tried, and this has also helped me narrow down products to buy outside of getting for free if I think they'll work great for us or for my girlfriend, which I wouldn't have known if not from us being "challenged" through the review program to try some new things slightly outside of what we might choose ourselves.

PS. If you choose to select a mentor... don't make a request to all of them at the same time, choose one and give them a chance (maybe 24 hrs) to reply. I just got accepted as a mentor and had that happen, was kind of frustrating to sign on to consider/accept the application to only have it already withdrawn from the system (and I got to my computer to check it 2 mins after getting the email). Lena Eden might be something worth adding as a feature in the future, a wait time between mentor requests... Thanks.

Oh worth noting, I periodically check for user vote upgrades... but the spot where existing advance users find such users looking to upgrade is not on a splash page or a notification. So even with the active advanced users who might review, give feedback, and potentially vote for user upgrades... many of us just might not see your upgrade request, even if you write good reviews. I actually opted to go through the mentor program and write reviews for products I've already owned/used... and it took a weekend working with my mentor, but mind you I've been reviewing for other products for years and a lot of the skill translates.

I was upgraded to advanced reviewer status through the mentor program and now I am a mentor. The mentor program is hands down the best way to become an advanced reviewer. (Yes, I might be biased.) If you are already a stellar reviewer, your mentor will help you tailor your reviews to better fit the style of EdenFantasys and give you the best chance to win the monthly Review Rumble contest. If you are having trouble organizing your thoughts, a good mentor will give you lots of suggestions to help you improve your writing.

Personally, if I think a student in my mentor class can write two solid, extended reviews without multiple spelling/grammar issues, I will graduate them. However, when I look the reviews contributors submit through an upgrade request, I tend to be more picky. I look for people who put in the time and effort to write in-depth reviews with personal experiences that tell me more than can be found on the product page.

That's a good idea! Thanks! Probably we'll make a limitation for new Students, where they can leave no more than 3 requests within 24 hours.

"I'm looking for people to put in time and effort into writing in-depth reviews with personal details, telling me more than what can be found on the product page." - And that's exactly what we need here!

Guys, the more personal your reviews are, the better! People who are just considering buying a specific toy are often wondering what the experience will actually be like, what would they feel and if there are any special tricks for getting the maximum pleasure while playing..

Honestly, I'd like them to wait 2-3 days. Gives us a chance if we're not well enough to get on or we're on vacation or something. It is frustrating to see several applications appear and be canceled because they already found someone else to mentor them.
