I actually suggest:

It's what I used for my first anal toy, and I wrote a review on it too!
I think it's important to get something that can be sterilized, and this toy can be because it is 100% silicone. I would want something to be safe for anal use, and I think you'd be very pleased with it. It's also un-intimidating and easy to use.

Did you read the reviews on Dr. Joel? It has no flared base and fell apart. I wouldn't advise that one regardless.

The green one looks cute.
03/15/2011
Wow... Spam... Ive never seen it here before
03/16/2011
But I do like the green one and ive never thought of a plug, Should I go with a plug for first time or an actual toy? Is there a benefit of a plug?? I suppose you can use it during intercourse,

I do like the green to and I need my first anal toy um...

The Anal Finger is a nice, small starter toy.
I also really like the Plug of Lust Small and the Love Pacifier for beginners or even those with experience.
I would not recommend the green Anal Starter, because it's made of a very smelly material. Sil-A-Gel is not something most people care for.
I'd suggest you also look at tear drop or pacifier shaped plugs, like the Love Pacifier, as these have a really different feel than finger shaped or phallic shaped plugs.

That looks like a great anal starting toy to me. Higher quality and can be sterilized. I'd go with that!

The Anal Starter looks good.
04/22/2011
wow i've never seen spam on eden either
04/26/2011
starter
04/27/2011
This is a great one to start with too. Nice and small, it's glass so it's very easy to slide in and you can sterilize it! Happy hunting!

None of the above. If you're going to buy something, then buy something good. Silicone is soft so you don't have to worry about poking yourself uncomfortably, and it can be cleaned and sanitized. It's also compatible with most lubes, and can be had for not much more than the prices of these toys.
05/04/2011
I like silicone better actually.

Agree. I only use silicone--it's so easy to sanitize and doesn't smell at all when you first get it.

I've been hearing good things about the SinFive Eltiri and the Little flirt and the Pleasure #1 – butt plug.
06/05/2011
OTHER! The little flirt was my first anal toy. It worked really great! You can check out my review of it here for more on my experience.
06/05/2011
i like the green plug posted. it looks the safest
06/06/2011
None of the above. Get a good quality silicone toy such as the little flirt, slim, ripple small, little flirt, or pleasure #1.

I don't have any of the choices, but I was very happy with my first choice which was the LELO Bob. I went with the Anal finger since it seems to be the most similar to Bob.
08/25/2011
anal starter has all you need to know right in the name
08/25/2011
I said the blush, however I suggest. Emerald explorer (Green)

Lelo Bob seems like a good choice.

Following Triston Terintino's advice, the little flirt is really one of the best starters out there. link. It is low cost, unintimidating size and perfectly shaped silicone makes it easy to introduce anal play to anyone who might be game. Spend some quality time with this toy and you'll a convert tovthe joys of anal play. The njoy line will be waiting for you when you are.

The anal finger or the anal starter are the ones I pick
10/24/2011
The anal starter has some decent qualities to it.
My first anal toy was this one: link which I really love and would recommend to anyone starting out with anal. I still use it often enough, too.

The material for all of them scares me, honestly. I'd go with something of a different material - silicone, glass, steel, etc.

id probably get something different but out of those options the starter
11/01/2011
The only one we've tried out of those was the starter but found it a waste of money. YMMV, but my hubby is very, very tight and the Starter just had too much bend and give in it to do the job.
11/03/2011
anal starter worked for me of course I had used fingers and objects around the house previously
11/03/2011
Something flared, that is a must.
02/16/2012
I need to get the green one.
02/17/2012
Anal finger...
04/21/2012
Anal starter
04/22/2012
Instead of any of those, I'd really suggest going with silicone. The Little Flirt, Plug of Lust Small, or something like that. Silicone will be so much safer. Glass and metal are also safe, but I don't recommend them for beginners.

I think the Anal starter (Green) is the safest one. However, I'd really go for something non-porous for anal play.

the green one

If this is for a true no experience start I would go with the Anal Finger. The small point will make for easy insertion and the gentle taper means you could slowly work up to the size. Also it is smooth so it will be the least likely to agitate. You can always go bigger and badder later.
