Best lube for Njoy pure plugs (anal) ?

Contributor: Trysexual Trysexual
I've been using basic lubes for toys/sex. I just got my med pure plug and tried it out, but it got uncomfortable after about half an hour. I used astroglide natural lube and I think it dried up or absorbed and was uncomfortable removing the toy. I read that you don't need much lube for the pure plug. Can someone recommend a good lube for anal play that lasts?

I think I need to try some of the exotic lubes sold on EF and see what I've been missing. I read good things about maximus. Others?

Maximus is a good choice for anal use because it has a thicker consistency. However, it contains parabens which some are sensitive to. Silicone lubes are a good choice because you only use a very little and it lasts quite awhile. I've used both Better Sex Essentials and Pjur Original Bodyglide. Most people avoid using silicone based lubes if any other silicone toys are being used since they can interact. You could also use an oil based lube. I use Boy Butter but it appears to be discontinued now. Oil based lubes generally should not be used vaginally.

Maximus works fine for an hour or so, because it's nice and thick, but anything water based will be absorbed by the body eventually. Silicone lube lasts and lasts, provided you don't plan to use a silicone toy for a while.

I've found that although Astro-glide and ID-Glide are nice because they mimic a "natural" like lube feel, they are not the best for extended use. As Kindred mentioned Maximus's thicker consistency does make it better for public/extended use.

If you're using glass (which is the best for anal, in my opinion) silicon and oil based lube will also work well due to their thickness as well.

I would go with something silicone base for long term wear.

I like Maximus for most anal play, however, with longer term wear with the Pure plug you might like to try a good silicone based lube like the Pjur line. Either way, I always find myself reapplying lube after a certain period of time. If you are out and about while wearing one you might want to carry a little travel sized lube just for comfort.
