Fake toys from Asia

Contributor: AF AF
I'm wondering: is there something like fake/counterfeit glass sex toys from Asia. Because when I google on glass buttplug, there are hits with wholesalers from Asia.

And see the following: 2 identical plugs where one is much cheaper than the other, in which the expensive one is from xHale and the cheaper one has no brand.

Not only is it possible, but it happens often. Here's the thing: A lot of these toys are made in the same place, the only difference is the branding on the box.

It's like buying a Nike shirt, or whatever store brand: Often made in the same place, by the same factory.. but you pay for a different tag. The thing is though, when it comes to some of these toys the "manufacturer" doesn't know the real manufacturer (the factory in whatever country) is using their design and selling it cheaper.

yes, it happens all the time, with just about everything. You need to remember, they all get made over in China (for the most part). So they already have the plans and the molds to make the toys, and so they do.

I've bought products from xHale. They were early leaders in the glass toy space. But in today's world they are just vastly overpriced. You can buy very good glass toys from EF for a fraction of the xHale price. I don't buy from any company that does not stand by their products like EF.

I don't think I would consider it a "fake" toy. Its just like a value brand toy. It would still have the same purpose and might even work all the same.

There are a lot of sites out there that sell wholesale products from the manufacturers who make them here in China. There is one site if I want to buy Lelo Siri for like 25USD per unit but only if I buy a case full of them.

And to put it mildly, every toy you use has something that has to do with China.

They were probably made there to begin with, some brand just gave them fancy packaging and charged more for them.

That's true, fake wasn't the right word....But did anyone buy such a toy from Asia (so the unbranded). And could you say how it is in comparison to other toys (safety etc) and handling/ shipping (in other words a trusty seller?)
