I'd suggest considering something made from a more body-safe material.

I second Mr. E's response. There are plenty of inexpensive, beginner-friendly, body-safe plugs.

Plug of Lust small
Love Pacifier Beginner
Pleasure 1
The Lil End

All are under $17. All are silicone. All are under 4" of circumference.

Good picks there.

Aside from the material of the Anal starter and Crystal Jellies, that base does not look safe for anal use. Maybe if a partner was controlling it.

The Lil end is great. You'll graduate from it after a couple uses, most likely, but it;s a good little starter. When I needed something bigger, I gave it to hubby to use as his first plug. Worked well for both of us.

I'd like to second this. Nothing less than a safety rating of 8 for my butt, please!

For a starter its best to start small and slim with lots of lube!

Start with fingers and then move up when you get a feel for size and what type of stim you like (stationary, vibrating, thrusting).

For anal I only use nonporous, bodysafe materials. There can be some bad beasties up there so I like to be able to wash everything off, and your rectum is delicate so I don't want anything leaching into mine. Silicone, glass, metal, and some hard plastics are all that I use. For a first toy I strongly recommend smooth silicone, since it's flexible and less likely to cause an injury. Yes, you can use condoms, but after buying the toy and the condoms you've spent almost as much as a good silicone toy.

If I had to choose, I'd say Iridescent plug. But honestly, I personally would want something of a higher quality material. The Anal Starters are just too uniform throughout, I don't think the base is defined enough to keep the toy from slipping too much if you lost your grip (the Sil-A-Gel is the best material of the ones you have selected, though). You could easily find some silicone plugs and probes that are just $20-$30, though. Something that's a safer material would be worth the investment.

I wouldn't want any of those, they're unsafe materials, especially for anal play. Try something in silicone or glass maybe. My first anal toy was Pleasure Pearls link A lovely starter, made of glass (totally hygienic) and just $20.

I'd probably choose the iridescent plug, but the anal starter would work well for a beginner, too.
