highest value toy for a novice?

Contributor: sollen sollen
I know nothing about this stuff, but I'm thinking that i would like to buy an anal toy for solo play. I'm not willing to spend much money on something like this (I don't masturbate that often) so I'm looking to buy only one toy, which is cheap and will last.

I'm mainly looking for something to use during longer play, more of a low constant stimulation to extend the enjoyment rather then bringing a quick or powerful orgasm. I'm thinking either a butt plug or something that I can play with when I get too close to orgasm and need to calm down. I'm a male but I can achieve multiple orgasms, so something to play with after a 'dry' orgasms while calming down would probably be good. I need suggestions for what i should be looking for.

I'm not looking for the best possible experience, but the best value. Something that doesn't break or 'gets old'. It would have to be easy to clean also. Do they make toys that don't require any lubricant?

anyways suggestions on what I should be looking for would be appreciated.

I would definitely discourage not using lube when it comes to anal play. It is normally a dry area to begin with, and needs all the lube it can get.

Are you into anal beads? That was my first anal toy I bought, and they are pretty good. I like the fact you can pull the beads out one by one which quite adds to the excitement. I'd definitely recommend these since they are easy to use, easy to clean, and smooth. X-10 Anal Beads

Thank you for your response. I'm not too certain about the Anal beads. I may enjoy them but I may not, I wan't something I know I'll enjoy. I will consider the other toy mentioned.

Errr there is one question. I only have the one small box away from my apartment for mail. I'm concerned it won't fit in the mail slot, and I really don't want to have to go into the apartment office to claim anything in a box with the word ANAL on the front. I already have one potentially embarrassing package (this one isn't just for play, I have a very legitimate reason for it) that I'll be getting in a month and I will defiantly have to go into their office to receive. I don't want to be known as the dirty man who keeps getting sex packages and everyone should keep their kids away from in the neighborhood, it tends to cause trouble while volunteering with BBBS.

Is there some option to ship it in a generic package instead of it's usual box?

I'd suggest looking into Cal Exotic's Love Pacifier. It's inexpensive and will last forever because of the silicone. The silicone - a great selling point - can also be seen as a disadvantage as you can't use silicone lubricants with it.

Eden's packaging is very discreet. They send the toys in a plain cardboard box or, if you order priority mail, one of the post office's standard boxes. The return address is "Web Merchants Inc." There is nothing at all to worry about when it comes to packaging. You're not going to get a box with ANAL on the front and I've been picking up lots and lots of Eden packages at my apartment office for two years without a second thought.

Something like the Tantus Ryder might be good as well. It's not horribly expensive, and it's also silicone.

I'll second what Lara says above - the packaging is very discreet, and no one will know what's in the box

Lube is pretty much a must for anal.

Everybody on Twitter is all-aflutter for the Bootie and the Romp. The Bootie is cheaper and would probably be better for a novice.

Packaging from sex toy companies is discreet. I don't think they'd make much money if they shipped their stuff in bright orange boxes that say "DILDOS INSIDE." If you have a customs requirement, the package will say something benign, like "silicone toy."

Now I'm sitting here chuckling at all the euphemisms that can be used for customs purposes. If my neighbor ever receives a "bald man in a boat" from Hong Kong, I will so know what he's up to.

hmmm twittering about anal toys. I must admit that is not something I have ever thought about. Still it beats some tweets I've seen.

Thank you for the suggestions. As soon as I get around to it I'll look through them and choose one.

I definitely second the Bootie. It's very newbie friendly, it's a good shape for leaving in place as long as you want without getting in the way, and it'll last for a long, long time. I'm not sure if it will be long enough to reach your prostate, though, if that's what you want.

Regardless of what you get, if you want vibration you can pick up a cheap bullet, and press the bullet against the base of the plug. You're safe because the bullet's never going into the ass where it can get lost, but you get a vibrating butt toy for a fraction of the cost.

Very good points. The Bootie is good for a beginner's toy, and the base is really comfortable.

Alternatively try the Plug of Lust Small or Large. Its silicone and inexpensive as well.

Booty I would suggest this for a beginner/novice it's really posh in texture and I love it. I would also just remind that glass is never a good beginning idea but could be for once you are experiences depending on what you like yourself (glass isn't for me). Congratulations for popping your cherry and welcome!

Oops it seems everyone had the same Booty idea which I did not see. However, another vote that should assist.
