I really like the Pure Plug (medium) but I really can't justify the price to myself. Second on my list is probably Icicles No. 14, but I've been reading reviews that its bigger than the Pure Plug large and the ring is too large to sit comfortably which would decrease long term wearability. I'm considering something like Moonshine but it doesn't have my heart like the Pure Plug.
My other anal toys are silicon but I'm really drawn to the idea of metal or glass plugs, so Love pacifier doesn't peak my interest either.
Of the selections provided, the Pure Plug Medium will be the easiest to insert and also the easiest to retain. It is also the smallest of the group. If you can handle the size I'd suggest considering the Pure Plug Large. I purchased the Medium and ended up purchasing the Large shortly later.
The downside with almost any of those options is that the base could get to be a problem. Large, stiff bases can irritate during use, and the loop bases (such as on the Icicles plug) can make it hard to sit down. Haven't tried the Pure Plug yet, so no idea on how well that works.

The Pure Plugs are good for long term wear. The handle is much smaller than on the Icicles No. 14 and it's also crescent shaped, so it sits between the cheeks while seated. The one draw back is that stainless steel is obviously heavy. You start to feel the weight of the 2.0 after awhile. However, the medium plug is much smaller.
The Pure Plug medium is a bit pricey, but it's worth every cent you'll spend on it. It does not have the slippage problem, the handle sits snugly between your cheeks the whole time you're using it, the slightly heavier weight reminds you that you're wearing your favorite toy, and most important of all, the angled bulb actually presses at your g-spot through the thin wall between your rectum and vagina. I'm not trying to sell the plug, I enjoy it so much I can't keep my mouth shut about it!

The Pure Plug's oblong handle will sit comfortably between the cheeks and never moves around like some other plugs do ..... perfect design.
Out of those choices I would go with the Pure Plug. As for a really comfortable long use plug, the Flirt by Tantus is wonderful. It is made of silicone and it is super comfortable.

But then... I discovered the Nob Essence Romp.
Sorry, but you did ask for other suggestions. Since the Romp is my newest most favorite plug ever, I thought I'd bring it up.
Pricey...yes, but worth it in the end.

I was going with the medium less out of size concerns and more because of weight. Is the Large Pure Plug a lot heavier than the Medium? The stats say their the same, having tried both would you say theres much of a difference? As I previously said all the ones I have are silicone and therefore not really weighty.
Ryder and Severin are both good long term silicone plugs, and if you can fit it in the A-Bomb is nice as well. They all stay in place and aren't irritating.
I have had my Pure Plug Medium for several months, even though I just got my review up yesterday. I fell for it several months ago, just like you, and honestly, there's nothing that's going to come close.
I went and checked them out at a brick and mortar store before I was able to settle on a size, and I tried to include all the information in my review. Since you don't have any reviews up, I don't know what to tell you specifically, so go check out the info I included there. I don't think I'll grow out of my medium, and the weight is just fine. You don't feel the handle, walking, sitting, exercising, you name it. And you know how sexy it is already. It's even better when you're holding it or wearing it.
I wound up owning an Icicles 14 too, and it doesn't really work for me---the head's too large to insert without a warmup for me, and the loop is so large that you can't sit down with it. So nix that one from your list unless you know you can handle the size, and you don't plan on sitting much.

Thank you, your review was super helpful! I'm going to check out the large and medium at a brick & mortar but I've pretty much decided to go with my gut and pay more for something I know I'll love.
Thank you all so much for your helpful answers and advice
Pure plug large is what I would choose. I own it and LOVE it! You really won't regret it. Stainless is amazing.
+1 on the Pure plug large. I recently wore one for 22 hours straight. After a long day went out partying and fell asleep with it in. Woke up to take a shower and forgot it was still comfortably there. Was concerned about "lack of lube" but no problem removing it. About an hour later my butt was craving it again.. I highly recommend the Njoy family for long term wear.
I am a major NJoy fan and we have the Pure Plug med & lg as well as the 2.0. Overall, I enjoy the md. for extended wear and during sex. I use the lg. or 2.0 during solo play. My partner will usually wear the lg. for extended wear.
The Tristan is also a very comfortable silicone plug for extended wear as well.
My 1st plug for long term wear was the Pure Plug medium. I should have gotten the large first because that would have been cheaper in the long-run than buying both. These days I use a few plugs between 2 and 2 1/2 inch diameters but that "little" Pure Plug large is still the most comfortable extended/public plug I own. Unfortunately, my pure plug medium lies unused in it's poor little box. Because of THAT specific plug, I'm writing this, in this wonderful online community, with the Motley Runner in my ass. THANKS N-JOY!!!!
I love love love my pure plug. It's actually comfortable to have in. The weight of it is a bit intimidating, and that always get me nervous/excited before insertion too... Nice bonus

Another vote for the Pure Plug: pricey but well worth the money. It's weight adds a new dimension to the experience but it is also comfortable to wear (just be careful when sitting on a hard surface or your friends will wonder if you have a steel ass )
Your heart seems set on the Pure Plug. You only live once so if you can afford it then why not, especially since you want it for long term use. Otherwise, ask for it as a gift for a birthday or Christmas or something.
Icicles may be uncomfortable long term due to the long neck and ring base. I have a moon plug variant, and it is comfy enough to sleep in. I vote pure plug, though, as it will have the more comfortable base for sitting.
Why would everyone choose pure plug? it's made out of metal with the handle sticking out? How is it comfortable for a long term use? is that metal handle "soft" while sitting down?
I own both the Pure Plug Medium and the Moonshine, and there's really no contest. The Moonshine is okay for short play sessions, but the neck is too wide for extended wear and the base is super uncomfortable to sit on, while the Pure Plug Medium is perfect in every possible way. Save for the Pure Plug Medium, it's definitely worth the extra wait.
