Need an easy thruster / rider, and a lube question

Contributor: MaouMew MaouMew
I'm looking for a new thrusting and/or riding toy to buy... I don't really own any thrusting toys, and only two toys that I can 'ride' in a harness (Tantus captain, and a 6" basic dildo that came with my harness). I've used my two dildos as both thrusters and riders, and I enjoy both sensations, however neither work very well for thrusting (Too hard to hold onto for solo play, on edge of my seat) and while both are great for riding, I just feel like I can stimulate my prostate better, since neither really have a bulge on the end, or are bent towards my prostate. The captain has that curve, but it isn't very pronounced and given the overall size of the toy it isn't something you can really pick out (The main feeling is 'omg this is big').

So what do you suggest? As is implied by my post, I'm not exactly a newbie, since I own a tantus captain, so size isn't too much of an issue, however I think I'd prefer something smaller than a captain since I have to warm up quite a bit beforehand just to use it.
What I hope to get out of a new toy is either a prostate orgasm, or milking - I like both sensations. A combination of the two would be great but I doubt there's anything that can pull off both . I also don't mind any material type, and may lean towards glass since I don't own a glass toy yet.

As for my lube question - I bought some 'Anal Lube' 6-9 months ago, and recently the container for it broke... The plastic snapped and I about cut myself, I don't know why - but for some reason the plastic got brittle enough that it did this while I was trying to squeeze it.
I love the lube but unless I find a way to prevent this happening again, I'm going to have to find something new.

If I DO need to buy a new type of lube, what would everyone suggest?

I'm not too familiar with thrusting anal toys, but I do know that Anal Lube and Maximus are usually the two most "well-loved" anal lubricants out there at a decent price.

I'm going to go with a bunch of silicone suggestions (mostly tantus, because I have a bunch of theirs). Other materials are good, but most of my curved toys are silicone.

On the smaller side, but great for prostate play, are the Tantus Acute and Curve. Both are shaped very well for targeting the P or G spot, and are small enough for fast, hard thrusting. If they're too small, the Throb or General might be a good choice. My boyfriend has told me that, even if a dildo is straight, if the head has a very pronounced ridge and the silicone is firm he still gets good prostate stimulation. In this category, he suggests the Tantus Vamp/Sire (same toy, different color) and Doc Johnson's Platinum Silicone Super. The latter has the advantage of large balls to hold onto, and a more realistic design if you like such things.

I'm not that experienced with anal toys either, but I second the recommendation for Maximus! Pump-top bottle, nice and thick consistency, and water-based so it's safe for your silicone friends. It's my favorite lube, but it lives with the boyfriend at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestions, Lily (And the lube advice Kay and Cynthia ). The dildos look good (My favorites are the acute and curve, just by how they look), however all except the Platinum seem to have the same problem, a problem that's always bugged me... There doesn't seem to be a way to tell which direction it's facing when inside you.
Any tips in that regard? All the toys I've owned up until now seem to have that issue... They get turned around since there's no way to tell which way they're facing, and nothing to really orient it.

All Tantus toys have the Tantus emblem stamped in the base. It's deep enough that you can definitely feel the difference, even if you're just running your finger along it (even in the dark, covered in lube). I check which side the emblem is on before I use it, then use that to orient myself.

I haven't personally used the Curve, but I've heard very good things about it. My boyfriend has threatened to steal my Acute on numerous occasions... the only reason he hasn't is because he likes it so much for strap-on play. (and it's sparkly pink... lol)

Alright, I think I'm going to be getting the curve, however I also wanna get another (Different type of) toy. Right now I'm looking at the following, but I have concerns with each:
link - I have been eyeing this for close to 6 months... It just looks so great, however I'm really concerned that it's both plastic, and meant for g-spot... Can this be used for prostate play?

link - This looks AMAZING, someone here recommended it and I've wanted it since however I've just now decided to (Possibly) try it. My problem is I've never owned a glass toy, and I don't know if you can go hard(Kinda)/fast with them. Can you?

Or maybe a third option... What are some good (<$30) probes? link - I've been thinking about this, but I'm not sure if it'll work for prostate play... I really like the lucid heart because it looks like it's DESIGNED purely for prostate play.
