New to plugs, what do you recommend?

Contributor: kfdarling kfdarling
I want to get a plug that my wife and I can share. We have never done this and was wondering if there is one that somebody would recommend. I am guessing a safe material?

Useful topic breakdown on Butt plugs:

Are there any other butt plugs comparable to the Njoy butt plugs?
what I've been reading about Njoy's butt plugs is that everyone doesn't think anything else compares - there's got to be something, isn't there?

Butternut or Spaghetti Squash
Which one do you like more? Why?

Finally got my pure plug medium!
After lusting after the pure plugs for months I finally decided to get one. I am SO glad I didn't go with the small. I warmed up with the tantus small

What was your first plug?
So what was your first plug? Whith what did you start down the road?(pun intended) Mine was a Jullian Snelling large plug, a red one

The importance of button placement.
In the course of reading product reviews, twice I've decided not to get a toy because I learned that the button placement was odd.

Look at the tantus line. They make great toys. I would go with silicone or glass. Tantus's plugs are all silicone, I believe.

There are many great silicone plugs that work wonders for beginners. A few suggestions:

Pleasure Plug 2
Bootie
Love Pacifier Beginner

I highly suggest silicone, since it's sterilizable and able to be shared. I would not suggest glass, as it's rigid and more difficult to adjust to.

Njoy Pure Plugs. They're made of surgical grade stainless steel. They're easy to clean. The most important things is that they have a great design and will stay in place and not slide out until you pull it out. Also the handle does not get in the way when you're having vaginal sex.

If you are new to plugs and you a looking for a safe material, try any small plug made of 100% silicone. The flexible, soft texture of silicone will make it easy for you and your wife to ease into using plugs. Plus, silicone is easy to clean. Remember to use a water-based lubricant, specifically one that is thick.
