Is glass better?

Contributor: Mari Fanger Mari Fanger
Which do you like better, glass toys or ones made of other materials?
Why do you like that one better?

I have never tried a glass toy but, I will be purchasing one soon. I am so curious about which is better.

Informative topic breakdown of Glass dildo:

Glass Dildo Question
So my wife and I are just starting to get into glass and we've ordered our first few toys. I know that each piece of glass is unique and there can be

Glass vs. Jelly
I'm used to using jelly materials and have never attempted glass. Does it hurt? -Lol- That's probably what lube is for.

Who has used a glass vibe or dildo did you like it?
I want to try one but idk please explain your experince in comments.

Glass for beginners
I'm looking to get a glass plug and maybe a glass dildo. I am new to anal and I hear that the seamless-ness of glass is great for beginners, so that's

Are glass toys comfortable for anal use?
I love anal play, and just ordered my glass toy. Never thought about using it there, but what do you guys think?

Not better....different. As for toys made of hard solid textures, glass is my favorite.

It's hard to compare between them, like comparing apples and martini; I like them both but it's hard to say what I like *Best*. Glass is closer to hard plastic, so it's enjoyable for g-spot play or for sensation play.

I love glass for its ease of use and cleanup, but I don't like its fragility or its price point!

I LOVE glass! Silicone is nice too, but glass provides a different type of stimulation and my orgasms are more intense with glass, so I tend to buy more glass toys. (In all types of varieties , I have a little collection going.

However, it depends on what you like, if you do not like hard toys or want something realistic, then this is not the way to go.

We love glass - smooth, wrapped, nubby - all of them. But we also like metal (stainless steel & aluminum) - and then there's silicone. I vote variety - but you can't go wrong with glass as long as you don't get something too large - obviously glass is unyielding.

I think better, but I like hard toys. I have to feel safe and relaxed to really enjoy a toy and I feel totally safe knowing my glass is clean. I haven't tried metal but I'm interested. I live in the far north, though, and my gf tells me she CAN'T use the metal in winter, plus, I'd be nervous about aluminum - I don't use aluminum cookware so why would I insert it. So, yeah, glass.

I like glass for certain things, but I'm very sensitive to pressure so it depends on the day and what I'm up for. I love my silicone toys and my hard plastics just as much! They all just add something different to the experience.

I need an actual glass dildo (I only have an anal plug/probe but find it's not for me really) but I love it's hard counterpart, metal. I really should pick up a glass toy at some point, though.

If you like hard toys, i say go for it. The benefits outweigh the cons--body safe, compatible with all lubes, and it will last you a lifetime if you take care of it!

Glass is probably one of my favorite materials, very good for temperature play run it under hot tap water for a few seconds or dip it into a glass/bowl of ice water and you are good to go. Glass toys "Should" all be made out of tempered glass so while they can break, under normal use and care they shouldn't. All you really need to do is inspect for cracks prior to each use as once one develops it is very likely to break there.

I agree here.

I adore glass, and I think I own more glass than I do anything else. If you're a fan of texture, solid-ness, hardness, etc. you will like glass. If you like soft, smooshy, things with give, then glass isn't for you.

It's not necessarily better... just different.

I love me some glass, I have to admit. I am about to try metal for the first time when I get home, so I'll let you know if it's better than glass or just as exciting!
