We have other wide dildos that are longer. I'm the driver when we are using the big ones, but I restrict depth of my thrusting to about 7" to 7.5" - unless or until she begs 'deeper' - then it's nice to the extra length of something like the Outlaw or Carina.
We also have some BD dildos with a portion that expands (they call it the knot) - but that part is 2.5" in diameter and my wife has yet to want anything that wide.
