One of the cool things about silicone is that the treatment means it can be pretty much rock hard or realistic. They can also look realistic or crazy fantastic. That Isis, in particular, has some flexibility, which I liked. It was a nicely made piece.

Clean up is easier, little to no smell, and the drag effect can be little. Plus the colors and usually no seams.

Silicone is very flexible, non-porous, very velvet soft, and of course, last a while unlike jellies, though I do prefer jellies more.

Silicone is the only soft material that's also body-safe, so yeah, it's definitely worth it! I particularly love Vixen and Tantus' formulations of silicone.
