Aren't flavored things good for you?

I vaguely remember reading something once that you better avoid ALL of the flavored things because they aren't good for you...

Well, but of course there are the organic things, and it just really makes me wonder how much this is true... ~blushes

As I understand it, the principle factors are (A), the flavoring agent, and (B) your own body's idiosyncrasies. Almost all synthetic flavoring agents are irritating to some degree (rashes, burning, dryness, etc). Some bodies can handle them, some not so much. While many natural flavorings are less irritating, they make great environments for germs. Flavor usually equals food. This is why whipped cream in your who-who is usually a Bad Idea.

But the most important thing to remember here is that bodies are variable things. Yours may be fine with what makes mine unhappy. Experiment!

I don't know about the ingredients and what all, but it's good to remember that "organic" doesn't necessarily mean "good for you" or "harmless".

There are many toxic things that are "natural" and "organic", and well as ones that just aren't suitable to certain uses (like going in vaginas or butts).

Organic peppers are still peppers and and can still burn - and when used in intimate products can still cause irritation and bad reactions. Just one example.

No one should take an "organic" label as assurance of goodness or safety.

Labeling laws are kinda crappy when you look at them. Organic might not mean what you think it does in order to be labeled so. Also, a lot of flavored lubes have artificial sweeteners which are worse for the body than normal sugars. For one, most artificial sugars are 5 to 40 times sweeter than sugar. It takes more for your body to process and what the sweetener breaks down into in your body may not be that good for you.

If artificial, there are lots of studies on why its a no-no. Other than that, keep them away from orifices and you should be fine. The ultimate thing is moderation.

Also, a lot of flavored lubes might not be good for you to use vaginally, even if they're just fine for you to eat. Some of them have ingredients that can lead to yeast infections (such as glycerin or sweetener). These can be in "natural" lubes.

I haven't really found one I'm personally comfortable with using in or around my vagina, but there are quite a few I'd be fine with using on a penis for a blow job, for example.
