I think maybe some people are just in a "it works" frame of mind when it comes to lube. It may not be something they use all of the time so the expensive formulas that aren't sticky aren't worth it? IDK, I'm interested in the answers myself.

I doubt anyone actually likes sticky lube. The people who use it have probably never tried any good lubes and don't realize it doesn't have to be like that.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone actually liking it - they probably just don't know about better lubes that are available that don't get sticky. Personally, I really hate a sticky lube.

That's why we avoid water-based lubes. Silicone or oil-based for us - no sticky feeling.

Heh, well the results are as I expected so far. I don't like sticky lube, either.

The reason behind this poll is that I recently wrote a Description Review on a lube that felt sticky as it dried a bit. I put something like "sticky residue" in the Cons section. But I was wondering if I was being too subjective. I thought maybe some people would like the stickiness of certain lubes. I don't want to label something as a bad thing if it's enjoyed by some people. I know everyone won't take the poll, but I'm still curious.

Prefer no lube. If lube is used a sticky feeling is not a pleasant one.

Sticky lubricant is the worst but I've really only had this experience with water based lubes. Water based lubes are my favorite so I've found mixing with silicone based lubes prevents that.

Kind of a trivial question. The other thing is that I think everyone has different stickiness threshold. One thing can be considered sticky for somebody and is not for others. Is this ture?

I guess it could seem trivial to some people, but I posted my reason for why I was wondering about it. It didn't seem trivial to me.

I agree that there's a stickiness threshold. I'm not sure how I'd go about quantifying it, but it's a good thing to keep in mind before making blanket statements about a lubricant.

Well, reviews are always going to be more or less subjective. I often find reviews that say a toy is "too small" or "feels weird" or something to that effect, when someone else may enjoy the same qualities. Nothing wrong with that.

Back on topic, though, I thankfully haven't run into too many sticky lubes, but I hate feeling sticky PERIOD. If I spill soda on my arm, I'll feel it for HOURS unless I clean it off. It's one of the only things my skin is really sensitive to.

Sticky means cheap, to me. If I dont produce sticky tacky lube, I dont want to use sticky tacky lube.
