both of you can use water based lube. you can also use it w/ any toy material. also, it comes in 2 thicknesses or consistencies - 1 for regular use; the 2nd for anal play.

I was about to reply that Gun Oil was a lubricant, but somewhere I read mis-guided review or something and was under the impression that it was an oil based lube geared toward male-bodied masturbation purposes or anal sex. So thanks, I now know that it is a silicone-based lube.

Gun Oil is a brand, Edeneve, LMAO!!! The story (and possible Urban legend) is that during war, the troops were desperate for a wank and used actual gun oil. Sometimes you hear it was WWII, Vietnam War, Gulf War, etc. Regardless, that background is supposed to be behind the name only. The ingredients are nowhere near actual gun oils. And they have many different products, so they are not just silicone based. but the whole brand is geared towards men, from the name, to some of the product names such as Jack Jelly and Stroke 29 and then their water-based, silicone-based, and hybrid lubes. Oh please, how can you possibly know every damn thing, right? You are humble though and that's a good thing, along with being able to laugh at yourself! And from the story, you weren't that far off were you? They were saying men used the gun oil for real and then when they came to the US, they tried to formulate something with the best of the qualities of the real gun machine oil, and none of the toxic and smelly side effects, lol!

I hazard to say there is no such thing as the "Safest Lube".

But silicone gel is perhaps nicest if you are not using toys and want something to last the longest.

No drip, generally latex safe and waterproof. Great for anal too.
