My favorite toy ruined, but why?

Contributor: PinkPedal PinkPedal
I don't have a special storage system for all my toys and nothing has even been ruined till recently.

Like a month ago I noticed that my "Sexy Decision" pocket rocket, one of the attachments, got this weird coloring to it. It was a orange/reddish streak along the side of it. Not a big deal to me because I hate that toy and it has faded away over time.

Now the other day I get my favorite toy and it a realistic toy and made of TPR, I hope it will go away like the other one did but I'm not sure.

I know its one of my other toys doing it, but I don't know witch one. How can I find out with out having to store each of my 30 toys in individual bags.

So, what happened to your toy? I'm not entirely sure I understand.

Also, a very inexpensive way to store your toys individually is to buy different sized zip-top bags, like for food storage. Small toys in sandwich size, medium in pint, others in gallon. I have several high-end toys that I use the original packaging for.

Mimi stays in her pretty box, as does G-Ki, Pure Wand... my wood dildos came with their own bags as did my We-Vibe and I made my own glass storage....

While it is fine to store 100% silicone toys together (or with inert plastic, metal, and glass), you should store each toy made of a composite in a separate bag/container away from silicone and other composite materials (such as jelly, TPR/TPE, CyberSkin, SuperSkin, etc.). Composite materials are unstable/reactive, so they will try to bond with other composites or silicone.

Reaction rates can vary. Many reaction rates are, in fact, extremely slow. Therefore, while it may appear that you have been able to keep TPR/TPE toys together without any ramifications, the slow reaction rates just give a false sense of confidence. By the time you notice any physical changes on a macro scale, the reaction has been going on for some time.

Toys that you love are safest in individual bags, as others have said, especially TPR toys. Something as simple as an old tube sock will suffice. The more care you give them, the longer they will last you. Sorry that is happening! Hopefully some of these suggestions will be an easy and inexpensive fix for you. Best wishes!

Everything should be stored in separate bags.
