I am looking for something that is "new user friendly", as he has never had something like this. I would like it to be a surprise, and I want to get him something he will like. He's average-to-large in the size department (if that's important).

I don't want to spend over $70 since he might not like it regardless of how good it is, and I don't want to throw money away on his first toy!

Neat. I like the warmer thing they have. I think he'll complain if it isn't somewhat life-like. I was looking at the Tenga 3D

Tenga 3D is very nice although it is a bit on the short side, it does stretch pretty good so don't let that stop ya. The Maven has been, and always will be, one I recommend to newbies. Silicone and water based lube compatible, good suction, very stretchy and only $30. I have had mine for over two years now and still use it plenty.

Thanks so much. The Maven looks pretty awesomesauce too! I can only imagine what something might feel like, you know, since we don't have the same parts

The Tenga 3D line is strong, but Tim is correct that they can run on the short side. So if your man is on the larger side, opt for a Maven or similar. Once he gets used to the Maven, you can always upgrade to a Fleshlight.
