Cock rings trap the blood inside the engorged penis. This allows for a longer and sometimes thicker erection and also can help to prolong ejaculation. They can be used for about 30 minutes at a time, then removed for 30 minutes, etc. They have been recommended by physicians for premature ejaculation and ED--there are no lasting side effects if used properly, are the proper fit and are not worn for long periods of time.
