I'm scared of them too. But they make stretchy ones so there shouldn't be much of a problem. I've never used them but people say they *can* lead to harder erections, better orgasms and longer sex.

Try looking at this one, it is super stretchy and made for beginners: Super Soft C Ring

Well, my advice would be don't pressure someone. If he does not want to try that, then try to understand. Cock rings really don't provide that much pleasure. I mean, there's nothing wrong with bringing it up a few times and seeing if he'd be willing to, but if it's something he seriously does not want to try, it should be left at that. I wouldn't want to be pressured into using something that scared me.

Anyways, have you tried with a different type of toy such as a fun clitoral toy you can use during sex instead of the ring? Maybe using something like a couple's toy such as Noa or We-Vibe would be more comfortable for him since he wouldn't have a scary tight ring on his penis. Then perhaps he'd be interested in trying a cock ring. What exactly makes him not want to use one? Just curious. Do you have one? If you have a cock ring and have presented it to him asking to use it and he turned down the offer, it's probably best to leave it at that. If you've simply talked about it, it may not hurt to go the extra step and get a cheap one to show him. Maybe he just needs to see and hold one in real life so it's not as intimidating.

On another hand though, he may actually have a real problem. Perhaps he's worried you're bored with his sex or worried you're only going to be satisfied with the little ring vibrator? You could try digging to see if that is the reason, and if so, I'm sure you could reassure him that that is not the case.

Best of luck!

My hubby was definitely against it for the longest time. I finally got him to try a ring out and he loved it!

Really, I wouldn't know what's not to try. Have you tried asking him, and insisting on specificity?

Two things that may make him change his mind are lasting longer than usual and more intense orgasms.

I'd be a little nervous too if I were a man. I mean all the horror stories!!! Not to mention, something tight wrapped around my junk would freak me out a little.

But then again... I have tried many things because a man likes them. So fair is fair. Sounds silly I know, the first time I tried nipple clamps I was freaked, same with anal. But I pushed ahead because a man wanted it. So I would expect nothing less from a man who wanted me to try new things, I would expect him to try something new as well.

I would also suggest this. It's really stretchy and doesn't have any odd things on it so I didn't find the look of it scary at all. Why does he find them scary anyways?

My hubby did not agree at first either but we sat down together to find one that we both thought would be a good fit all the way around. That made it a little easier on the lets try it process.

why is he scared? maybe openly discuss his fears to soothe his mind and introduce it slowly. He will love it once he tries it- guranteed. i had the same problems with my bf when i first started introducing toys.

I would suggest just buying a soft one and ask him to give it a shot. You may be surprised.

I definitely recommend starting with some sort of stretchy ring. You don't say what he's afraid of, but there should be no issues with stretchy rings that can be removed easily or cut off with scissors even easier.

The jelly ones are super stretchy and not as tight, but may be a good place to start. Many are really cheap and essentially disposable. Longer-term I would recommend a silicone ring, which are still easy to remove but much stiffer and tighter.

You can read my review of the Tantus silicone ring I tried (see my profile). I liked the quality and price of the ring, but ultimately decided I didn't like the feel of any rings. But I'm glad I tried.

There are a lot of other good opinions on this thread too. Let us know if he tries one and what you both think!

I got one free a long time ago and didn't even remember having it. It's a little squishy black rubber thing with nubs. I used it last year and boy, remembered why I don't use it often. Wife other day suggested I use one, says I'm getting softer with age. So I trimmed some hairs today and will give it a try for her. If it is good I may shop and research for a better one.
