#AskEden - Has EF decided to stop carrying Jopen?

Contributor: Lady of the Lab Lady of the Lab
I've now noticed two Jopen vibrators (Vr5.5 & Vr6.5) being discontinued just this month. The Vr5.5 had all positive 5 star reviews. I want to know now before I keep pining: is EF no longer going to have Jopen vibrators as available products to purchase?

I bring this up because I was really looking forward to buying the Vr5.5 for my birthday, only to see it be discontinued.

Jopen is pretty popular and a big brand, so I figure it's only temporary, but you never can tell with EF. Better to try submitting to support for a more accurate answer.

I really hope the discontinuations are only temporary I guess a support ticket might shed more light.

Not long after I had gotten my Gold Laced G it got discontinued. But then it came back again. So unless EF says specifically something isn't coming back, I'd say it's hard to tell.

I think it's safe to assume that it's a temporary discontinuation. It is such a popular brand!

In this situation, that's a wayward assumption. We were in negotiations with Jopen and though I haven't personally been updated, it's quite likely we will not continue to carry this brand.

My apologies for making that assumption! I know I read that you were negotiating with them, I had assumed that meant this was more temporary than not. I'm sorry!

Well, it turns out my 'wayward assumption' was correct because I received confirmation via a support ticket. I'm going to try and buy a Jopen vibrator from EF before they're discontinued.

No worries, I had actually somewhat forgotten about Jopen (never been interested in their products).

I wanted the same one too. After looking at the Jopen products remaining, I think I am going to just move onto a vibe from a different company, especially because I dislike writing reviews on discontinued products.

Also I'd rather buy a vibe I really want from a different company than settle for a Jopen vibe I don't like as much (since the Vr5.5 and Vr6.5 are no longer offered).

That's too bad, I have a Vr7 that I really like and I would like to try others.

Gah, I misread earlier and thought the 'wayward assumption' was referring to Jopen being discontinued. My bad. Anyways, I'm not too sad, just want others to be aware if they wanted a certain model.

I know most were discontinued then quite a few were brought back. Sad to hear they will be getting rid of them again.

I really wanted the vr6!

Well.. I guess I had best buy the Jopen items that I want, then.

I think Jopen have weird pricing restrictions on their products, regarding how much a retailer is permitted to discount them. I presume that may have something to do with it.

To be fair, just because EF is discontinuing carrying the product doesn't mean the product itself will be discontinued. You could still try getting a Jopen from somewhere else.

Although I love Jopens strength their rabbits are just too anatomy specific (and this is after trying vr2,3,5,6,6.5,7,8,15) I am super bummed though if Eden won't carry their new bullets. I was looking forward to a silicone version of a we vibe salsa. Anyone wanting a similar toy should know that the Leaf products are powered by the exact same power bullet motors and take the same charging systems with the same controls.

I know that, but it would be more affordable to buy it from EF.

I'm actually shocked to hear this. I've heard such good things about their vibes and they're such a big brand. But, then again, I don't know what it's like to deal with them on the business end.

Doesn't sound like EF is discontinuing Jopen after all. Most of the Jopen Vanity line items are in stock, and the ones that are out has an ETA date of March 28.
