It's made of the same silicone, so why not?

Sure, it could. It won't have the same texture, but there are still ridges there to give you some sensation.

I'm pretty sure it would, but you would compromise safety and maneuverability.

The only different is that the insertable portion is shiny whereas the handle end is matte, but if you're deep enough there's no reason why you couldn't insert part of the handle too.
