We purchased a Jopen Intensity off Amazon about a year ago before we discovered Eden. I notice the specs here say 4 batteries. Our only uses 3. Do we have a knock off? It does not work well at all. After the first few uses it seems to stop and go off if tilted or pumped up. It also was under $200.00. Needless to say Amazon does not refund sex toys. The box and instructions look the same as on Eden.

It sure sounded like a knock off -- here's the specification from Jopen stating that the Intensity uses 4 AAA batteries.

This is exactly the type of situation that I hope to avoid by shopping at Eden. If I ever have a problem with anything, customer service (Antoneo) has been wonderful in addressing it! That said...
You CAN get your money back for a knock off! Amazon DOES refund or replace faulty items, even sex toys! They just don't accept returns, get it? I have seen so many people give up because Amazon lets them misinterpret that no returns stuff. When you buy something, you have the reasonable expectation that it will work, not that you like it, just that it works. If you received something broken, you contact the seller through the Amazon system and if they don't make it right, Amazon will.
Since you were sold a knock off unknowingly, this is a big problem for Amazon's reputation! It might have been a while, but legally, you have from the time you were first made aware of the problem to seek satisfaction. If you used a credit card, you can have that backing you as well, if need be. I highly suggest you go to your Amazon orders page and go through there to contact Amazon (NOT the shady vendor - assuming it's not them), stating what you have just discovered! See what they suggest. Tell them you checked with Jopen when things went haywire and you compared the specs and there are no older versions, etc.
If they give you any lip, you get tough with them saying you are going to expose them for knowingly keeping quiet about and refusing to do anything to rectify the fact that they sold a knock off Jopen Intensity! Then tell them you are contacting Jopen about it too! However, I don't think you will have any problem, Amazon and any vendors I've worked with there have been prompt to remedy any situation. Please let us know what happens!

We're please to announce that the Amazon retailer, Look here First, took care of us.
The new unit is a little darker pink, better quality electrode plates and low and behold, holds four batteries. We've yet to use it but happy to get a replacement. Will use it this weekend and hopefully it will give the same great reviews we have been reading.

Anyway,for selling, the classifieds section of Eden is a good place to sell or swap toys. But beware doing business with someone you don't know of from here because if you get burned, there is no recourse. I'm sending you a PM with my other idea!

NUMEROUS toy manufacturers are currently suing Amazon because all of the cheap toys (pretty much too-good-to-be-true prices) are because they're COUNTERFEIT or KNOCK-OFF. They show pix of the real product and what you get is NOT anything the manufacturer produced, or is a copy of the item that isn't made from the same material, etc. ESPECIALLY the higher end products. The prices on most regular adult toys sites is already less than double wholesale - so that should tell you how far BELOW WHOLESALE and COMPLETELY WRONG those Amazon prices are. I'm glad that this all got sorted out! I admit, I have bought things on Amazon, but I'm always really careful and picky... and never end up saving that much money. Now that I'm advanced here, I'd just rather buy out and use my 15% in points to get a similar discount but at least be buying from a place where I know I'm getting the real thing. It's about 40% if you combine buy outs with points on EF, which is a killer deal!

I have an original prototype of the Jopen Intensity from before it's first release (sent to me by the manufacturer) and even that one requires the use of 4 AAA batteries.
While that's the general consensus above, I figured you should know that since mine was never a technical release (mine still had the original formation of the slightly rough silicone edges around the metal contact pads, as well, since it wasn't the release product.
I can take photos of it if you'd like.
