Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. I ran it for about 10 minutes, it puffed up. Didn't seem to affect performance, unless, of course, you wanted to use that side of the toy, but the other side was fine. I let it cool down, it went back to normal. ... more
I wonder why the adhesive didn't fail on one side, yet it did on the other. Is it the side with the name imprinted (on it), or the reverse? Reason i'm wondering: Planning on testing mine tonight. Would like to see if they both pucker on the same side. Thanks

The side with the logo is the side that puffed.

for some reason they kept the original mimi page and put the new mimi there? then moved the mimi gen. I stock to its own page...

it seems a tad unfair to me because of all the reviews dedicated to the old mimi.

That's true; the reviews are for an older model of the same item, so it may be a bit misleading since there are some noticeable differences (the major one of which is the addition of a whole other button altogether).

I agree. The old one had issues and shortcomings which the new one may not have and also the new one may have new issues. The new Mimi should have the new page while the old one stays where it was with the reviews people wrote about it.

The old MiMi was having mass issues with the sealant bubbling up. Not chemical-like bubbling, but air forming underneath the sealant. The new one does not have this, and it has a third button. The box is also smaller.

And the charger is safer.

This isn't totally correct. I have the new Mimi and the entire "top" (the side with the logo) puffed up within 10 minutes of turning it on. Mine may be a fluke. I'm returning it for a replacement and we'll see, but so far the new sealant doesn't seem to have fixed the bubbling problem.

I wish there was just a page of the new mimi too, as I'm very curious how the new button works, if there are the bubbling issues, and how it compares to the original mimi in general, and referencing two pages of reviews would be SO much easier.

Okay, so I got my new Mimi. They shipped the correct model, and there were no discrepancies in the order.

I must admit, I have tested it a handful of times in the last couple of days, but only for very few minutes at a time. So far, there has been no issue with the silicone, but it's hard to tell since I haven't run it for very long at one time. When I do, I'll report back.

So far, I love it!
But I'm still concerned about the potential bubbling.

Also, didn't someone mention that his/hers started to rattle after a while? While listening to mine, I noticed that it had the potential to sound "rattly," so I'll keep an eye (an an ear) on that too.

I got my gen 2 a week ago. I run it for a good deal of time, 20+ minutes, and I'm not having any bubbling issues--not yet anyway. Charlotte, report back when you get your replacement? I'll be interested to hear if you have troubles with it.

I can hear a rattly potential, too. It's a bit noisy to begin with, so I hope it doesn't get worse!

I'm really hoping mine was just a fluke. I really like it other than the bubbling. I did notice that mine was a bit noisier than I expected, given that most people talk about it being a pretty quiet vibe, but then, I'm used to my Lelo vibes which a whisper would drown out. The Mimi isn't super loud but it is a bit rattly and I definitely wouldn't want it to get worse. I got my return label and mailed my defective one off on Saturday so they should receive it soon. Does anyone know, how quick do they usually turn around returns?

I got my new Mimi, super excited, plugged it in for 2 hours. Light was fully solid and I turned it on, let it vibrate for about 10 minutes, turned it off to check for bubbling, which there happily was none, but then when I tried to turn it back on, it would not turn on! I plugged it back in and the light is solid so it is reading as fully charged but will not turn on at all. Looks like I'll be doing another return. :-(

I think the new Mimi is more powerful and I like the patterns button.
