Pchy, once again there is no need to feel "dumb". There will always be something we don't know about. This is when we ask and learn. Fortunately for you, you've come to the right place .

During my high school years, I also went to a religious school, although it was a Jesuit high school and not a Catholic one. My parents didn't approach the subject either. Either way, my high school's sex ed program consisted of a bunch of people basically lecturing us about not having sex and the religious ramifications of having premarital sex. I also have a pretty good idea of what you might have gone through.

Personally, I feel that not telling teens when they come of age about sex in a responsible manner is reckless. Hopefully the analogy I'm about to draw will make some sense. Sex ed, when taught responsibly, are like behind the wheel drivers lessons. If no one tells, teaches and demonstrates to you how to operate the vehicle in a responsible manner, then there will be problems in the future.

It's going to be scary at first. I would recommend using your finger first, just to get used to having something inside you. Some lubrication is probably a good idea to help the process go smoothly. You can either lick your finger or use a little Vaseline (if you don't have actual lubricant).
