I'm sure many of your questions were already answered, but I'll throw in my own just in case anything got left out in other responses.

First of all, congrats on your purchase - it's always exciting when you get something new, especially if it's your first.

To answer your question about your lady parts, this diagram should be very helpful.

The area labeled vaginal orifice is where you'll mostly be focusing with the toy, and it is located towards the bottom. The clitoris can also be stimulated since you bought a vibrator. To start exploring, since you're new, it would be a good idea to hold the tip near the opening of the vagina (as seen in the above diagram), and lightly push in to penetrate.

You said it is your first time putting anything in, not even having used a tampon, so it may very well be uncomfortable or painful your first time. That wont last forever though. And yes, you should absolutely go slow your first time - especially if you purchased a larger vibrator. When you get more comfortable, you don't need to go as slow unless you feel like it.
If you take it carefully your first time, I can assure you that you won't be doing anything wrong.

No, you will no produce a bad or strong odor by masturbating. You can relax and not need to worry about that. And you absolutely will not have a heart attack from masturbating. If that was the case, there would be wayy more people in the hospital

To summarize the above: It's your first time doing any sort of experimenting, so take it slow. If you're unsure of your way around your genitals, you should take a look at the diagram I linked. Go very slow your first time using your toy. You may feel discomfort or pain initially, but that is only because you haven't done it before - that won't happen forever. Lube helps with that, too. Don't worry about any strong odor or heart attacks, you'll be completely fine. Have fun

P.S. - My condolences go out to you about the loss of your grandma. I recently lost my grandpa, and can relate.

First of all you shouldn't be afraid. If you go in trying something new already worried, you won't be able to relax and enjoy yourself.
It takes finding the right toy for you. Everyone is different in what makes them get excited. You won't have a heart attack, unless you already have a really bad heart. That's something you should ask your doctor if you have a bad heart already. No you shouldn't hurt with the toys, unless you inflict pain by inserting an object way to far. Yet, you should know it's too far once you feel a little pain.
Take a bath and some deep breaths and relax. I'm not sure if your at the legal drinking age, but if you are have a glass of wine. Take your time exploring your body. It might take a couple of tries with different toys. Start with your cliteras that is usually the easiest to start with. Get a good vibrating toy like the butterfly or a massage kind.
Please don't feel dumb, every women started right where you are.
