I have no idea when mine broke. I still have some visible remnants of it, though, so maybe it was always just a few flaps of skin and never a "seal" to be broken. I didn't use insertable vaginal toys or tampons til I lost my virginity, but there was no pain or blood when I lost my virginity anyway. I'm not sure.

I honestly don't know when it broke. I didn't bleed and it didn't hurt much the first time I had sex or the next few times either. I have a faint memory from when I was around 7 or 8 of landing wrong on a bike and there being blood in my underwear, so I think this might have been what did it.

I was really really young and was climb on chairs while my mom was on the phone. And fell and hit the arm of the chair between my legs and broke my hymen. I had to go to the hospital, I remember bits and parts of it. I was laying on the front room floor while my mom called my gramma to babysit, it was really late at night like 7 or 8 pm. And I remember holding my legs in the air cryyyyying. When I went to the doctor they investigated my parents and everything, but it was just stupid me falling on a chair arm.

Don't remember it ever breaking. Hymens erode away naturally. That's how blood is able to come out during menstruation. Have experienced minor pain/discomfort and a few TINY drops of blood, but nothing more.

I thought it had been broken at age 4, because I had a bad fall and tore my inner and outer labia. When I was 19, and my ex and I began fooling around with fingering and such, we discovered that it was still there. It later broke during a particularly heavy menstrual cycle after being weakened by his fingers. That pain was particularly epic, and I was at work as a seating hostess. I was a gymnast as a young kid & generally very active, so I suspect it was mostly gone at a pretty early age. A bicycle & a pothole finished it off when I was about 15, but it was more like a pink sock getting in with the white laundry than any real bleeding.

I crashed my bike into an electric fence. >_< I didn't realize exactly what happened until years later as I was probably around 6/7 years old. But damn, I'm glad I got rid of that useless and extremely painful piece of skin before my first time. (Which was rather dull, in my experience: sex only gets better later on,it's never amazing the first time.)

I broke it masturbating when I was super young, like ten. It hurt so I never tried inserting anything after that (well now I do.) I wanted to know what sex felt like and I tried using a marker. Bad idea and I'm not sure how the hell I really knew what sex was. Probably shoudln't have known then. When I was fifteen it must have grown back because my little high school boyfriend broke it fingering me. Hmm.... Hadn't thought about that in a long, long while.

From what I've read and from experience, I assume hymens can be torn gradually from various activities. I was surprised when, after my "first time" that there was any blood at all. There wasn't much. Maybe it wasn't from my hymen, but I assumed it was.
