Any way to make your period come faster?

Contributor: snowminx snowminx
Lately my period has just been coming later and later every month. It used to always be around the middle of the month but then it was a couple days late, then the next month a week late on top of that, and now it's been a week and a few days and I haven't started yet. Does anyone know any natural ways to get your period to come earlier?
I read online about parsley infusing helping it come quicker but I don't know if there's any truth to that. Thanks for any help you can give me, It stresses me out quite a bit when it gets so late.

I have successfully used Vitamin C (in excess -- probably not the healthiest thing in the world to do) to get my period to start. Now, I don't know if it actually works, or if I just got lucky... I have never tried it when I wasn't already late or due to start. Chances are, I just got lucky. However, if I start with the Vitamin C, I typically find that I get my period within a day or two.

If i'm right around the time of my period, and I have penetrative sex, it jump starts it. but I'm on the pill. I don't know if that would be the same for someone who wasn't on it.

Talk to your doctor if you're that worried about your period coming later.

You're best bet is to see a doctor. Sometimes changes in menstrual cycle is an indicator of a bigger issue. That's not always the case, so don't freak out. It could even be something as simple as changes in your diet.

Parsley can also be very dangerous if you do it incorrectly.

I've asked around regarding making your period come faster... and no one really has a good answer, because we are all different.

My advice to you would be to keep a calender writing it all down, so rather than saying, "around the middle of the month" you can see a number, count the days, and keep track. Counting the days from the start of each each period to the start of the next one for approx six months is the best way to determine if your period is actually coming later, earlier than it should be. (I use monthlyinfo.com. Using this website, it does all the calculations for you)

Saying the middle of the month doesn't always work as some months are longer/shorter than others, and this one to three day variation will knock off your days.

Then again, every about five years, a woman's period cycle will change with her hormone levels. And that is something to be aware of as well.

If you are worried that something might be out of whack, I would suggest visiting your doctors office and getting some blood work done. When he/she checks out your thyroid, make sure to ask about where on the "normal" range it is if they say it all looks "normal".

Sorry I couldn't be better help.
