Ever Had Your Boobs Sized?

Contributor: David88 David88
So my wife just had her boobs size the other day and found out her boobs were actually bigger than she thought. I was just wondering how many people have actually had their boobs properly sized before or if you just wear what fits.

I do every once in a while and I'm always shocked. Last time I was wearing something 2 inches and one cup too small....I just liked how my boobs looked

I've had mine sized once or twice, and I've done the at-home measurement with a tape measure. I also use my bras to help me know if I'm shrinking or growing (ha!), since I remember how they used to fit. Of course things stretch with wear, so tape measures are better for accuracy. ^_^

Yup I like how my wife looks in sports bras that are too small.

I had my size measured at Victoria's Secret a few months back, but I'm pretty sure they round up a bit lol.

I get sized at vs every couple months, if I think I gained or lost some weight. I have stayed pretty consistent with my size.

Although I've been "sized" at Victoria's Secret, I don't count it as real sizing, hence my "No" vote. VS definitely rounds up. I'm a B in their store, but an A everywhere else. Similar to how in more expensive stores you're usually a clothing size smaller than normal.

I have had mine measured at Victoria's Secret and it was pretty accurate to what I already knew and had been wearing. I just at that time didn't know that if you like a bra but it doesn't fit right even if it's your size that you should try either going down a number and up a cup or up a number and down a cup and see if that works better. Some bras that I have are 36Cs and some are 38Bs, just depends on the bra.

I've never actually had this happen with VS. I actually find that sometimes I'm a B in their store and in others I am a C. For me it tends to depend on the style of bra rather than the brand.

I just did a self-measurement. No wonder none of my bras fit properly... I'm *technically* a 26D lol! Note, the method of bra measurement that tells you to add 4 or 5 inches to your band size is outdated as it was devised BEFORE elasticated braa straps.

From what I hear its really common for women to find that their band size is smaller and cup size bigger than what they thought they were before they were measured.

There's no place within driving distance that will measure you that would also have something that fits me. Its frustrating to find a good bra if you're not in the common sizes. I finally found something that works for me and I'm sticking with that. I stocked up in case they're discontinued.

I had a proper bra fitting a year back to sort of prove to my Mother that my breasts were the size I said they were. Sad I know but at least I have a proper fitting bra...

So I mentioned my newfound measurement to one of my hall mates, and she doesn't believe that I could fit into a D cup >.>

She also doesn't believe that cup size is proportional to band size, though.

Eff VS! I was looking for a DD bra and they didn't have one in my size, so the sales girl told me "A D cup is the same as a DD except the band is smaller so you'll need a bigger size."

Really, Hannah Montana?

Apparently they operate under the assumption that all women are stupid and only the VS vipers know about boobs.

They no longer carry DD's in their stores, but they have them online. My mom just ran into the same problem.

Ha. Screw VS. I Had mine sized there, and they said I was a 36DD (totally wrong, btw.)

I went to Fredericks of Hollywood, and the woman had a really hard time sizing me for some reason. She told me after about 20 minutes of throwing different size bras at me that she *thought* I was a 34DD. I used to be, but after losing a little bit of weight, they shrank a cup size or so. This weight loss was prior to getting fitted, mind you.

I find a 34D fits best. The DD was too big, and my boobs kept falling out if I'd move wrong. Not sexy. I'd like to be properly fitted one of these days, though.

I haven't had someone else fit me, but I have measured myself. My measurements say I'm a 34 B, and most bras that size fit me, but it depends on the style.

It's also useful to learn what makes a good fit for a bra. Many times, sizes vary a bit from brand to brand, so if you know the basics of a good fit, you can know whether you need to find a different size or not. This video talks about how to make sure a bra fits well.

I have it done occasionally when I'm shopping for new bras, just to make sure the size hasn't changed, or if it has, what it's changed to.

I've had them sized once, but that's when I was throwing down $50 for a Victoria Secret miracle bra (so worth it ladies!). Otherwise, I just get what I've been wearing, hasn't changed much :\ lol

What she was saying is somewhat true. If you're say a 36DD then you might fit a 38D. It's not really that the only difference is the size of the band, but for example on me I can wear a 36C or a 38B. If you take lets say a 32B and a 38B and hold them up to each other the cup on the 38B will be larger than that on th 32. So, it can kind of balance each other out. But it only really works if you're on the cusp of a size. Like, I'm a small C so the size up in a B will work for me..but if I was a full C I might not be able to get away with that.

It really is a smart idea to get proper sizing. I was totally wearing the wrong bra size for years until I got it done. That helped immensely in finding the right bra to wear.

Since manufacturers stats vary, my wife checks her size fairly frequently at Nordstroms - with 32Gs her choices are pretty limited - but the correct size is critical for her comfort.

I went to Lane Bryant just a couple of months back to be sized and buy some new bras. The lady there measured me and said I was 2 sizes smaller than what I knew I was. I told her there was no way I was gonna get my boobs in that size bra and she insisted I would! Well guess who was right?! She said that had never happened before! LMAO!! Talk about someone not knowing what to say!! I ended up finding 2 really nice pick me up, push em out bras but they had to be ordered!!

Yep, I have mine sized any time I buy a brand/style of bra I haven't worn before.

I vote "no" because I've never had anyone professional size me up, but I did it myself (or with my mom's help, I can't remember) and I discovered I had been buying the wrong size. I thought I was a 46C when in fact I'm a 44D. *sigh*

I considered it once at a department store but when I saw the ample size of the women waiting, I left. I am a 34B but I usually get the same mfgr. to avoid hassles.
For erotic looking bras, I prefer to try them on. From my perspective, a 34B girl is hard to fit...
