Ever Had Your Boobs Sized?

Every time I go into Victoria's Secret I always get sized just to make sure plus it gets someone to help me find the right bra!

Only twice in my life. Did that just recently.. since I lost almost 80 pounds. I went down a size. Woo hoo!

I was once told I was 38C by a woman at Victoria's Secret. I'd been wearing a 36D, and didn't think that could be correct as my bra was not tight around but tight in the cups. I went to another store where I trusted one of the employees as I knew her quite well outside of work, and she had me fitted. I was sized correctly as a 34DD, and while that news has made it much more difficult to find a bra NOT in the beige colour scheme, it's also made my back feel better and my bra no longer rides up in the back ready to peek out of dresses and embarrawss me.

Really though, 34DD is difficult to find. I asked about it at Victoria's Secret and was shown the kind available for me...in nude or beige. Then I was told I could just wear 36D in a particular style I was coveting as it's the "sister size" to my size--which would have been a bad idea for me. Glad I tried it on, because it rode up in the back and was uncomfortable. And it was also $48.

I have and I really should have done it sooner. Since I was 14 or 15, I thought I was a D, maybe a C. Turns out I'm a DD. My bf was stoked when I told him.

I recently got resized, and it turns out I'm not a 38DDD anymore, but a 36E. *headdesk* I've resigned myself to never buying a bra for under $50 again.

I got fitted after having my second child. I was wearing the wrong size and had actually gone up in size a lot more than I thought lol

I wish there was a place close to me that offered measuring.

First off, Victoria Secret sizes don't match up with anyone else's. (They cater to women with smaller cup sizes, but want their customers to think they have bigger breasts than they do, so their sizes are wonky.) So only get sized there if you're planning on buying all your bras there.

Most women with larger breasts are wearing the wrong size. Usually they have cups which are too small, and a band size which is too big. This is because that's all they can find.. most stores don't carry bras with larger cup sizes.

The best thing to do is to find an independent store that carries a big range of sizes. They usually have fitters who know what they're doing. The hard part is finding one, especially if you're not near a big city.

Three good places to be fitted in the Los Angeles area are
Jenette Bras in East Hollywood (but only if you're a D or bigger cup size, as they don't deal with smaller sizes)
Creative Woman in Monrovia, CA (AA through N)
The Bra Lady in Upland, CA (also AA through N)

Thinking about this now I think its time to get sized again.

It was a huge shock when i finally got sized. Was wearing a 38DDD and she was like "no, huh, this is WAAYYY too small." She brought me a few different sizes and it turned out i was a 42GG. Ridiculous!

Bra shopping can be such a pain. Even knowing "my size", fits between brands vary, and if you tend to go up and down in weight your boobs change size.

Twice! once at JC Pennys and another time but i dont remember the name of the store. Its shocking to see how much your boobs have grown even when you dont reliaze it.

Getting sized makes a difference especially if your boobs are big. I wore a 42DDD but my girls would always slide and the bra fit funny. I got sized and found out I'm a 38GG. Me and my girls have been happy ever since.

I've had them measured twice. I was a C cup then a D. I believe the C more

I'm trying to get my beloved to get herself sized, since she has a lot of discomfort with bras.

Alas. I shall keep trying.

No, I haven't. I read how to properly take measurements and I assume they are correct. Might get it sized just for a double check.

I've only tried them on so far. I really should get an official sizing, but I don't trust Victoria's Secret.

I don't want to get my sized because my bras are a B but I feel like I'm a small B so if I went to a place such as Victoria's Secret, I feel like I'd be an A. I shouldn't really be concerned though because I buy from lingerie places and I'm still a B

I've never had mine properly sized, and I definitely need to. I always just wore whatever bras fit, but I've lost 30 pounds since January, and all my bras are waaaaay too big. I'm almost afraid to get them done; I have a feeling they're going to be a lot bigger than I think. I've always worn a D/DD, but I think I need a much bigger cup size than that now, since I've gone down two band sizes.

I've never even thought to have them sized. I just wear what fits. I also don't buy bras that often so it's not something I worry about.

I think that's true. I don't even consider VS a real lingerie store. IMO it's made for younger girls - like teens and twenties, who may not have all the curves yet that the rest of us have developed over the years. Anyway, I've not been fitted professionally, but I've done it myself a number of times. And my bra fits really well, so I assume I'm doing it right. lol

I did a few years ago due in to get sized again since I think my boobs grew and my ribs shrunk.

Last time I was in Lane Bryant, the sales woman offered and I chickened out. I've done the measurement at home and the numbers I got didn't work at all. When I'm bra shopping, I snag a range of sizes and styles and try them all on until I find a fit I like.

I'm afraid to get mine sized (professionally) but have done so at home and every time I do, the band size gets smaller but the cup size gets bigger. It's getting rather disappointing and annoying every time. I would love to be about 4 or 5 cup sizes smaller. Being big is not all it's cracked up to be.

Was a while ago before I had two kids, but she told me I was a 39D Which of course is not made so it is either size up or down. Now I am a 40DD, at least last bra I bought really got to get sized again.

I used to try, but to be honest I could go to 5 shops and get five sizes.

I honestly don't even know what a bra is supposed to feel like when you're wearing it, unless it's fancy lingerie for modeling, in which case it's usually a size too small and really uncomfortable but looks good in photos, lol.

I think it is priceless to have a well fitting bra. I love it when I get properly fitted and the clerk comes into the dressing room to see if the bra is indeed fitting as it should. I think that more lingerie stores should have professional bra fitting services like that. It is such a tricky thing to do!
