Does exercise make your sex life better?

Contributor: AngelvMaynard AngelvMaynard
My @SexCultureTV tweet of the day: Female athletes have both better clitoral blood flow and higher sexual satisfaction than women who don’t exercise.

My question is this, do you exercise regularly or not? If you do, do you find that your sex life improves with the release of the endorphins exercise brings? Or is there no difference when you don't or do exercise in your sex life?

I do exercise regularly, and I honestly haven't noticed anything. It may take more time though, we've only been doing the regularly active thing for about a month or so at this point.

I try to exercise regularly and I can tell when I haven't been keeping up with it by my drop in sex drive. It's a good motivator to keep exercising!

you know i've definitely heard this first hand from friends, that it DEF improves your sex life. when you're more active you have more energy and feel like getting rowdy more often, and more rowdily.

i dont exercise and neither does my boy... we could certainly use some of this.

i know that exercise would help like... a great lovely handful of my main issues (depression, chronic yeast and bladder infections, anxiety, fatigue, sex drive)

but im so fucking thin and have always been that i just keep on eating the lucky charms, m&m's and stay lazy.

maybe one day i'll find discipline behind some secret door...

Definitely, I don't get tired so easily when I'm riding my hubby!

For some reason, when I get a lot of exercise in (like going to the gym for a long time not simply walking) I tend to be less horny. I am not sure why. However, just because I am less horny doesn't mean I am not horny, it just keeps it at a normal level

Yeah, I notice a difference when I exercise and stretch. I have more energy and flexibility, and just seem to be in an all-around better mood, so the sex is usually better too.

Oh definitely! Exercise releases mood boosting chemicals, so you feel better mentally, it gives you more strength and stamina, so you don't get worn out as quickly, and it makes you feel better about your body. I think regular exercise makes a huge difference in every aspect of your life, including sex.

I find yoga gives me the best feelings over all. Physically and mentally. It also helps with flexibility, which comes in handy in the bedroom

I do exercise, but I really don't remember a difference from when I didn't. I think a lot of it has to do with your self esteem being raised and edorphins released during exercise so that's partly the reason I think. I don't remember a huge change from several years back when I didn't exercise though..

Yes - exercise makes me feel happier, more confident, and also builds endurance for sexual activities
