Hurting your self during masturbation..

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
Okay, So a few of days ago (3days) I used a new toy. I don't know what I did wrong, but now my clit is HURTING! It's been this way for a couple of days. I've used a couple of toys after that, and i don't notice the pain when turned on. When not turned on, and just around. I feel it, and I'm moving around trying to ajust myself. I'm going crazy wondering how long this will last.

i've hurt my clit a few times, but it would only hurt if i touched it like when trying to masturbate or wiping when in the bathroom. it usually only lasted about a day or 2 for me. i still can't figure out what i did those few times b/c i was doing & using something different each time it happened.

I've had a few similar experiences, one not too long ago. I actually got really swollen like a day after I hurt myself somehow (I think from friction or being too rough accidentally), so I would put a warm cloth and sometimes ice on myself to feel better.
I read online that putting diaper rash cream can help with some problems like this too.

When you're turned on you get a lot of blood in that area, so maybe that's why it doesn't hurt when you're turned on.
Hope your pain goes away soon

just don't use any toys for a couple days and you should be fine. if not, talk to your ob/gyn because that could be a serious injury (probably not though

I've done that when using my vibrator before. It was painful to the touch and a bit swollen for a couple of days. I didn't realize it at the time, it wasn't until later that it started to feel irritated. Mine only lasted a day or so.

If you get too vigorous, or don't have enough lube, you can definitely feel irritated after. I've done that a time or two myself! Give it a few days and see if you don't feel a little better.

I've ended up with a sore clit many, many, many times. Just lay off it for a few days and you should notice that it starts feeling better after a few days to a week. You probably just rubbed the surface raw.

Have you checked under the hood for grainy bits? If you get sand or dried-up bits of food or something trapped there, it can be very irritated until you get them out.

I use a Q-tip dipped in lube to gently poke around under the clitoral hood and see if I fish anything out.
