Preparing For Doctor Visits

Contributor: wrecklesswords wrecklesswords
Do any of you ladies "prepare" yourself for doctor visits. What I mean is, d you specifically groom or shave any specific areas just so the doctor will see a smooth or well-groomed area?

Queefing during sex?
Seems to happen the most in Doggie style for me. Good thing my partner has a sense of humour. Anyone else cursed with a noisy snatch?

O yes shave and a shower right before going. I do not want to be hairy or stinky!

Agreed!

I just thought of something else.

Does anyone ever wear any clothes or outfit specifically for going to the doctor? Especially if you know that you are going to have to take your clothes off?

I've worked with doctors and OBGYNs. It makes no difference to them if you are shaved or not, in fact older OBGYNs actually are less fond of shaved women assuming they are in "business" or something. (I didn't say I agreed, but I've worked with some older (older than say 35 or 40) year old doctors, men and women, who assume shaved women are strippers or working girls etc. Not all doctors this age, but a number of them. Doctors are a conservative group of people.)

Yes, of course being clean is nice for your doctor (and the nurse assisting him) but he pays little attention to your public hair. He has a job to do and things like this make little impression either way on most busy doctors.

I wear nice clothes, but not dress up for doctor appointments. I like to make a clean neat impression, but I don't really go out of my way. I've never heard a doctor make a comment about someone's clothes, unless they were way overdressed or dirty.

The main thing is to simply bathe or shower before a doctor appointment. Anything else makes no difference to most doctors. Do what you are comfortable with, but don't go out of your way trimming the hedges, because chances are he or she just doesn't care, and really just wants to get on with the next patient and eventually go home.

As P'Gell said, I am more concerned with being clean. My doctor has seen all types of "hair styles" on me.

I don't worry about shaving, but I do make sure I am freshly showered and all clean. I don't think my doctor cares what my pubic hair is doing, as long as I'm clean.

As long as I'm clean that's all that matters!

Definitely understand that! I don't go out of my way to make sure I'm shaved. I usually stick to my usual shaving/epilating routine and if it falls the day before or the day of my appointment, then so be it.

I can understand older doctors getting the impression that shaved women are working girls, it only makes sense for the times they were raised in, worked in, etc.

I definitely clean myself up before I go, but I don't worry about shaving.

Yes! I hardly ever have hair anyways since I've been using an inhibitor which means I'm always removing hair. Still, I would not go in with hair. I'd shave if I had to. I just ain't comfortable with hair myself. I always shower daily so I don't do anything extra really.

Certainly no shaving... i mean they are at work, and their job isnt judge of a runway show.

I hate not being shaved. So, I'll do touch up, just because it feels better for me. But if I'd shaved in the past 2-3 days, I don't really care. I always try and look nice, seeing as how I'm a doc myself and never know when I'll run into patient.

I make sure I'm clean, but no doctor's seeing me without my underwear anyway, so it doesn't matter if I'm clean shaven. I don't believe in GYNs, I'm A-Gyn-ist.

My doc is super cool. Which is why I kept him even though we moved and hour plus away. He has delivered two of my four and I have been with him for over ten years. I hve shaved bare every day since I was 19 so that's nothing new for him to see. I dress regular which is nice shoes and for the last couple years a pair of MissMe jeans and a nice top. I always shower and put on make-upp so I guess I don't do anything special except banish my husband to a blow job the night before or day of so I don't go in for my annual full of man jizz. (Had that happen once... coul'd have murdered my husband... "I won't... POP SQUIRT Oooops hunny...Grrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrr! Lol" so that's about it.
