I've never really had successful shower or bath sex. Maybe if we had a jacuzzi, heh. Otherwise, bathtubs just are too small and the shower puts a lot of strain on his knees which aren't in the best shape anyway - because he has to sort of bend to deal with the height differences.

My partner gets turned on very easily when she's around or on her time. And yes, we make love then. I'm willing to make love at any point, no matter what.

I love blood. Blood from there is even better to me.

I have always loved sex during my periods. My husband wasn't too keen on it at first, but he has a hard time turning down a horny wife. Since going on the pill, I have light flows lasting about 3-4 days, so it's never all that messy, and even if it were, cleaning up takes care of it, and can be a whole different kind of fun! And now after cleaning up, my husband enjoys inserting my new tampon, and I love it!

It can be really, really messy.
I'm really sensitive about this subject. If a male partner pulls a "gross out" reaction to the suggestion, I'm very offended. Not only do I interpret this as a childish and misogynist response, but also an offensive and unnecessarily defensive one as well.

I wouldn't let anybody go down on me though, that's potentially unsafe and has a high gross factor, for me as well. But as for inserting a condom-clad penis into me, the man has no excuse. He isn't even coming into contact with anything.

If he won't treat me like the woman I was last week, with the same drives, desires and entitlements, then we're not speaking anymore.

Put down a towel first, though.

I don't necessarily find it misogynistic. Some people just don't like blood. I've had sex on my period and slept with women on their period, but I always insist that they're wearing a tampon during oral and be freshly washed, or wash up before and after if we use toys, because I don't like the sight, smell, or taste of blood.

I've done it before, and I don't see anything wrong with it. The cleanest situation is in the tub/shower.

Sometimes people can't help those knee-jerk reactions. I had one ex that would nearly pass out at the sight of blood and would become nauseated during my heavy cycles- it wasn't his fault for having such a strong sense of smell and I certainly couldn't fault him for that.

It's like when my husband farts after we eat Mexican food or my homemade chili, it's just so noxious and foul I can't help but cover my nose or walk out of the room so I don't gag- would he consider me childish because of that? No way, neither would I consider him childish if he was ever grossed out by an exceptionally heavy flow with clots included.

We've had sex while I have been on my cycle. While it wasn't mind blowing, it was a relief none the less. Put a towel down and in the case of blood getting on your sheets, Hydrogen Peroxide right away while it's still "fresh" will get it right out. Just apply, let sit for a few seconds, dab away. Repeat process until stain is gone. Do not bleach you sheets! If it's dried, Stain Stick works wonders.

As far as the "knee jerk" reaction to sex during menstruation, just pull the line, "Well, I swallow your semen don't I?" Just level the playing field a bit. I can understand a "no go" while you may be bleeding heavily but other than that, there is nothing a shower can't remove/clean. *provided you are disease free of course. ;-)

Yes sex during your cycle does help with cramps. Also I know I do get VERY horny at that time. So we just use condoms so he doesn't get as dirty and put a towel down and fuck like teens.

I totally agree. I've never really told my boyfriend that I think having sex on my period and seeing my blood on him is hot though. However, we always have sex on my period - he even gives me oral without a problem.

I find vaginal sex during that time really gross. Luckily, M does too. We figure there's more than one way to skin a cat.

My husband doesn't mind it at all...but I do! So, I will do it at the very end of the cycle when the blood is at its lightest. Though I do notice that some times the sex will make the blood heavier after wards.

I get really horny on and around my period, and I find it does help with cramps. Sometimes if it's late or the flow is bad/slow etc it also helps clear things out- cause of the muscle contractions I suppose.

I've never been with a man who has a problem with it, and its actually one of the first things I try to find out. Most guys man up and say "It's just blood and it'll wash off" and I don't believe I would be with someone who was so irrationally afraid of such a normal thing.
I used to avoid using toys at that time but since I have toy wipes its ridiculously easy to clean up and I hardly worry about it anymore. I think that it is, like every other time, an acceptable time to indulge yourself however you may wish to.

Obviously, the one boundary for this is oral. Most guys will not give you oral at this time, but since I don't particularly like oral, I don't care at all.

I so need to go back and look at the mestrual cup thread. That was just something that didn't exist when I was younger...

Periods are such a damned pain.

It all depends on the guy. My boyfriend doesn't mind sex during my period. I often wear tampons, so I'm not all bloody when we start. Just lube is VERY needed if you use tampons.

I actually didn't even want to do it; it was my boyfriend who convinced me.

We never have sex on the first day I start menstruating but after that we have just as much sex as we usually do (sometimes even more since I'm more aroused during that time). He really doesn't care if I'm bleeding, and he likes my added energy I give during that time of the month. Plus, it really does help the cramps and makes me feel sexy when I happen to be bloating.

yeah, I get horny at that time! My hubby doesn't mind it unless I have a really heavy flow.
