What do you use for your period?

This may seems gross, but with all the options out there I decided why not ask.

Tampons and Pads/Liners. I am interesting in what it would be like to use the "Soft Cup" or diva cup/Moon cup though.

I recently started using a menstrual cup, and it's the most amazing thing ever. I was a little intimidated at first, but now I wish I'd been using one all along.

I like using the instead, but I want to try the menstrual cup, I have heard great things about it.

I got a Diva Cup last week. It's the best non-sexual thing that has ever been inside of me.

I use tampons. I had to give up on the cloth pads. They just weren't working for me, and I got fed up with the hassle and mess.

I want to try the cups so bad, but I only have the occasional spotting due to my birth control so I dunno if its worth buying one.

I use cloth pads too. They're definitely more work to maintain (you have to wash them all the time), but they have saved me a ton of money each month, since they seem to last forever. I've been using them for six years, and only had one rip.

I have been on depo for a while, so i havent had a period in a long time... I have recently heard of these cups -- but unsure! Afraid that something could go horribly wrong! Over filling, or making a huge nasty mess when trying to take it out... LOL

I find pads to be like diapers... Unsanitary -- especially on a heavy flow ---*shudders* just sitting in that makes me. ugh. went to tapons, but have been on depo - no need.

I use the diva cup. I love it and have been using it for over 5+ years. They are easy to use and they do not over fill. I have heavy flow and you only have to change it every 12 hours. So great!!!

I use a lunette cup. The worst thing to happen so far has been some leakage on my heavy day when the cup gets too full., I have cloth pads as backup so it isn't really a problem.

Tampons. I've tried to use the cups, but they just didn't fit my body. I hate that too because I've heard wonderful things about them!

Menstrual cups are awesome. When you wear them right you don't need to worry about leaking, and are far more comfortable for me than either pads or tampons. If you still are nervous, a panty liner for heavy flow days will do. They don't make you sweaty like pads sometimes do, and you aren't sticking a bunch of bleached cotton up there every month or realizing that you've suddenly run out of pads/tampons. As for making a mess taking it out, practice makes perfect. Don't worry, you aren't going to drop it in the toilet. Outside of my heaviest days, I'm totally comfortable only taking it out to clean with soap during my morning shower.

Cloth pads and cups at home. Can't make cloth pads or cups work at work, so I use disposables and tampons during the work day.

I use tampons and cloth pads/liners. My periods aren't very heavy. It's also easy for me to maintain because I just toss them in with my cloth diapers to wash
