Well, that's the niche my collection is going to fill-- the yummy sexy kind of steampunk! Not one of a kind, but certainly one of a few!

Sounds like THE place to stay!

Yes, she does. I just presented it to the reps today and there was great excitement. Ahem, there was also some gleeful reponse to Dream Lover and Lesbian Cops, two uber hot titles for Spring 2011.
Yay! Gleeful responses are my favorite kind...

One of these years, I'm going to go see the tree lighting! Or go to Times Square for NYE.

Nothing wrong with that. I wish I could watch with you

Times Square for NYE is definitely an experience, but it's something that I'd never do twice... It's almost always frigidly cold! Plus, it's kind of a pain in the butt, because you have to get there so early in the day and security is CRAZY these days.

But at least once? Hell yeah, it's unlike anything else I've done.

I have a few friends that went in tonight. Unfortunately I work until 5 and you have to get in way early to get a decent spot (plus holiday gridlock!) so it doesn't work out for me. I've been in Manhattan on New Years Eve, but never been to see the ball drop. I was uptown at the Beacon Theater watching Gov't Mule

Gleeful responses are right up there, but I have a special fondness for ecstatic ones. And even breathless, totally-wrung-out ones. But probably not from the sales reps. During business hours.

It cracked me up the first time I was there on New Years though... I'm sure Times Square is a madhouse, I wouldn't venture near it personally, but we go to dinner around 6 or 7 at a Thai place in the the top part of Hells kitchen and then head to the beacon and never have any problem getting in or out - it's actually pretty quiet! It's funny the difference a dozen blocks or so can make, I guess.

Me too! Mine's up at home and lit. I think the one Tori was talking about was in Rockafeller Center? I'm sure I got that wrong.

Possibly more books. And Idk if it counts as buying per se, but some of my toys that are able to be sterilized and whatnot are going to get given to friends as gifts, lol

Yup, that's the one Soooo pretty, even if it's just on TV. I called my mom during it (I live in NJ and she lives in SC) and she says they don't show it on TV there. Maybe it's just more of a regional thing? I don't know.

I can't imagine how NYE is these days, last year I went to the Halloween Parade and it took my companion and I about half an hour to push our way through the crowds from the parade block to the subway, three blocks away, in the madness.

I would love to see a tree-lighting one year, though; twenty-one years in New York, I feel like it's something I ought to have seen by now.

I actually drove thru New Jersey this weekend! I really hate getting gas there. I'm perfectly capable of pumping my own gas, I don't see why I have to sit in a line for 20 minutes and wait for someone else to do it for me, lol

That definitely counts! I got my mom and am getting each of the girls at work a Jimmyjane massage candle, a new p-spot massager for my boyfriend, and a Siena Rondo for one of my best friends. No books though...besides my boy and I, I don't know anyone in real life that reads erotica And he doesn't have his own books, he just reads mine.

Ok so far I haven't heard much about the "Bottoms Up" book. It sounds pretty interesting. Who here had read it?
