Well... according to Freud (our old buddy from previous discussions!), the only "true" orgasm was one achieved during penetration. I suppose he was talking about the G-spot orgasm.

Seriously, though, I think the fact that the G-spot has been dismissed as not real makes it more enticing for some.

Anyone else want to chime in on what makes the G-spot orgasm special (or not)?

I agree. I've never had a g-spot orgasm, so I'm kinda jealous too. I read the book hoping to help, and it has good info, but I'm too impatient.

Freud was a funny one and clearly did not really listen to the ladies about all the possible kinds of orgasms, Too bad we can't go back in time and hand him Rachel Kramer Bussell's new "Orgasmic!"

I think the liberation comes from getting to know your body better and learning how it responds—which is all great, but yeah, I actually prefer, most of the time, to reach orgasm through clit stimulation.

I think it's seen as more special because it's something that not everyone achieves, and for some of the people that do, it's a lot harder to get to than a clitoral orgasm. The more elusive the object or feeling, the more it's put on a pedestal - this can be true for a G-spot orgasm or an expensive car! I think it's also comparable to a p-spot orgasm in a man because it's something a lot harder to get to and it takes time and practice to achieve. In addition, maybe the g-spot orgasm is also thought of as being more special because people have to work toward it, it almost has to be earned through time and practice and research for some women.

That being said, I don't find it any more enticing than any other orgasm. To me, the liberation and frankly the pleasure, is found in having a partner I trust enough to get me off or being able to do so myself - plain and simple. Where on my body it comes from has never really factored in.

I've had a g-spot orgasm before, but they're few & far between. mostly because I'm not huge on penetration. I like it, I just really really love clitoral stimulation like a million times more. I can squirt from clitoral stimulation, no joke. However, I do find both types of orgasm enjoyable, one's just easier & more quickly gratifying than the other.

I am too— impatient that is. I have had g-spot orgasms, but they do take longer to achieve for me and sometimes I am just not in the mood to work for it.

I do feel liberated, & better informed about my body. Reading The Smart Girl's Guide to the G-Spot was an educational, orgasmic experience, to say the least.

I've never had a pure g-spot orgasm. I've had dual stimulation orgasms... I prefer those

Ooh, blended (or dual) orgasms rock! I just feel alive & bursting from head to toe.
I've experienced these mostly with the Lelo Ina and FunFactory Delight.

Freud would claim that "Orgasmic" was the ravings of a bunch of penis-envying madwomen.

I never had a G-spot orgasm until my early 30's and it was totally accidental. Not sure if age had anything to do with it, but I do know my sex drive went into OVERdrive right around 30.

Aren't orgasms like pizza? There's no such thing as a bad one?

I'm of the opinion that Freud probably needed a good smack upside the head. Or several.

Now there's a theory I can get on board with. But how does food work its way into every single one of these discussions? LOL

It happened that way for me too, and that "overdrive" is just getting worse the older I get.

Hah. Well, I ordered the Form 3 today, so let's hope another high-end vibrator doesn't let me down. I'm still on the search for my perfect rabbit. I have my perfect g-spot toy - the Bent Graduate, but nothing for dual stimulation.

I'll pray for you.

Did you try the Siri? LOVE IT!!

I was going to order a Form 3 today, but I can't knowingly spend GC's on something when there's a chance I could win it instead.. I'm trying to be patient & wait until this contest is over. Then I can justify purchasing one. ^_^

The best thing I've tried for G-SPot so far is the Nobessence Seduction. ADORE IT!
I have a G-Ki, but I haven't learned to love it yet..
