Read back through the thread here, plenty of people explain in detail why glass toys are perfectly safe to use.

I have never worried about mine breaking, they are made of a thick glass to help prevent such things from happening.

I'm not concerned about my glass toys breaking during use. They're very sturdy.

Do people actually use the readily available information at their fingertips in this day and age? Yes, glass if safe. It's not hollow, delicate, blown glass that they make dildos of. Do you go up into a skyscraper with windows and ask the architect if he considered that those glass windows might be unsafe at 36 stories up? Probably not, because glass is actually really durable. It's thick and sturdy. You're safe.

I haven't really thought about that.

People have gone into detail about how glass toys are solid, safe glass, but I just wanted to point out that borosilicate glass - which is what is used in sex toys - is VERY sturdy. I've seen it used in hand-blown glass artwork, and in that case it was more likely to bounce than break if dropped!

Still, like people have said, you should check any toy for tears, cracks, etc. to make sure it's not wearing out.

I have never been a really big fan of glass toys. They just dont feel right to me personally. Its not really a safety issue for me, just a personal preference.

The only way I could think of were the glass dildo would break while it's inside you is when you fall from a tall building while masturbating.

it doesn't bother me! the type of glass they use in toys is nothing like, say, a wine glass. It is sooo much sturdier. I don't even worry about it when I drop it!

I've had a few glass pieces and was never comfortable with using them so I got rid of them. I just couldn't get rid of the image of them breaking inside me.

It's been said a thousand times, but yes, it's not going to break inside of you. Borosilicate glass is EXTREMELY resistant. Unless your vagina is made of cement or steel there's absolutely nothing to worry about. There's actually videos on here from people testing it's resistance.

From my experience and what the people around me have said, glass is as safe or safer than most products. Unless you go throwing it around or dropping it on stone, it's fine
