How many of you have purchased "how to" books or dvd's on the site? Do folks really read/get information from them or do you use the internet to get your research done?
Do you buy/read Self Help Romance Books/DVDs?

I buy them occasionally. I don't really read them for the "how to" aspect, but more of interesting facts and bits of information.

I recently just purchased 3 from EF but I haven't read them yet. I had a book to read for a class and 3 papers to write when I got them. Now that I got that out of the way I look forward to starting one of them soon. I have a few others on my wishlist. I bought them for the reasons darthkitt3n mentioned except for the Kama Sutra book, that I bought for us to get a picture and idea of how to do other positions to spice it up a bit.

I have only purchased one dvd that was kind of self help, it was about the g-spot. It was kind of a help, not a total waste of money.

I was looking through some of what EF offered and I had seen a few that I wanted. Thats why I asked lol. They were kind of tucked away in the back so-to-speak and I was wondering just how many folks found them of any use.
I am almost 30 with quite enough experience under my belt, but some of them were music/mood setter kind of things. Another I was looking at looked interesting with some romance ideas that I KNOW hubby should read up on a bit lol. Just wondered

Nina Hartley's book was very good, but I didn't like "I (heart) female orgasm" It seemed to address only very young women who were new to sex, or women who didn't know much about sex in the first place.
Nina assumes you know the basics and then goes beyond. I like her book a lot. Most of the few other sex books I've read have been disappointments, though.
