I wore my Smart Balls out shopping one day. After being gone for several hours, I returned home and need to pee badly. I sat down and started to relieve myself and felt an odd sensation, then heard and felt a big splash on my bottom. I cursed a few nasty words because I knew I would have to put my hand down in the toilet water that I had just peed in, in order to retrieve them. I cleaned them, washed my hands, and haven't worn them since.

Ugh, yes. A tampon. During sex. Can you say awkward? He had to fish it out because I couldn't get the correct angle to grab it. I stopped using them shortly thereafter.

I understand this is pretty common with tampons, and the results are sometimes unpleasant or scary. I think the closest I have come was when I almost put another tampon in before taking one out.

I often forget that I'm wearing one of my Luna balls until I make a sudden movement and realise I have had it in all day.
I can pee with it in with no worries of it falling out. But they are a pretty reasonable size ball.

A tampon, I forgot I'd used one since I was having issues(my periods was lasting months, literally months!) and I'd bleed through them. I'd just woken up, so I forgot it was there. Oddly and thankfully enough I sneezed and it came out. I'm scared of TSS and this could have been bad new for me. Thankfully I'm off the medicine that messed with me so much that I had heavy periods for months. After 3 months straight, I was glad it was gone. Worst part, when I asked the doctor I was seeing, he said it wasn't a big deal. I was so mad, told him I wanted to female doctor, now! When I saw one she was stocked and worried like I was, sometimes men can be so stupid, even with a doctorate.

I can't say I've ever forgotten anything. I did have the string come out of a tampon once though and that led to some fishing around. I also got a condom stuck way up there and had to have the guy fish it out. Not fun experiences.

I wear tampons overnight and I don't really see a problem with it. I usually bleed through though so I've stopped relying on them overnight.
Sometimes I forget I have a NuvaRing in, but it's supposed to be there and I never forget on the day I am s'posed to take it out.

I have done the tampon thing as well, but thankfully it wasn't a mistake I discovered during sex, rather later in the day when I went to hcange the subsequent tampon I discovered two strings instead of one. As embarassing as it is it's kind of comforting to know I'm not the only one to foget about a tampon. even if I'm the only one dumb enough to insert a second before removing the first

Ok, one of my friends just told me a horrifying story the other day about a woman who forgot a tampon inside of her months!!! She started to cramp really bad one day and was rushed to the E.R. only to discover it had blocked so much bacteria flow that it killed some body cells and a portion of her uterus was decayed already inside her!!! Horrifying!!!
