We have all been there, you purchase a product and it does not live up to your expectations. What have you done to modify, adapt or improve the product?

This will be very interesting to hear about the changes that have been made for the better and will help the rest of us to still enjoy a less than spectacular product.

K-Y lubricant is very sticky and turns into little sticky balls after application. I put a teaspoon of lube and a teaspoon of water in a shot glass to smooth the texture and make it less sticky. Works like a charm. Still not as good as some of the other lubes, but is definitely an improvement!

I have added a slimline vibrator to many of our silicone dildos because the little bullet vibes they come with are worthless.

BTW - we hate water-based lubes because of the sticky feeling you describe. We use either silicone lube or Shea-cocoa butter based lubes.

I haven't done much modifying beyond trying to alter some lingerie. I figured out that adding a vibrating cock ring to my little Octopus massager would make him vibrate, lol.

Why go through the trouble? There are so many better lubricants on the market, that are better for your body to boot!

I have done a few things.

I had to cut a small hole into each one of the bands on the last set of thigh-highs so they stretched a bit more.

I removed the D-ring in the center of 24" bar for the Fetish Fantasy Series Spreader Bar n Cuff set. (The noise was driving me nuts.)

I had a harness that I purchased from a different retailer. The dildo was molded onto a base and then riveted onto the fabric of the harness. Loved the harness, hated the dildo. So I cut it off.

I've cut off scratchy pieces of scalloped lingerie

I use K-Y when we run out of Climax or forget our lube at home when we travel. Ummm....I have also run out of the good stuff a few times and had to wait for it to arrive in the mail. We have no adult stores here due to protestors against porn and adult products.

Liquid Silk is a fantastic water based lube, although I have been told it is a cross breed because there is Dimethicone in it. I absolutely love it and I go through it like crazy. It doesn't get sticky, it feels super natural, and it lasts a long time.

I have a favorite lube, but I hate the bottle because you have to turn it upside down and SQUEEZE. I have made a few messes. It is impossible for me to have good controll using it. But I really like the way it feels, and I feel very comfortable using all of the ingredients. In my last order I thought I would give something else a try. I found some that didn't include any of the things I'm trying to avoid and it came in a pump bottle. Well the new lube was a bomb for me. It was stringy and kind of sticky. I just didn't like it. This morning the two bottles were side by side and I noticed those bottles are about the same size, I wonder... I unscrewd both tops and put the pop top on the icky bottle just to see if it would fit. I did! I washed out the pump top and put it on the old bottle and it works beautifuly! I feel so smart. It may not be as complicated as what others have done, but I couln't be more pleased!
