Don't actually know if this is common, or if it's just me. I have found it hard to know which muscles to contract without the aid of something inserted inside me. I recently purchased but have yet to recieve a vaginal exerciser. I am hoping that this will help me to better isolate the proper muscles. Once I recieve the L'amour p.w. pleasure system, I will do a review, as well as a follow up review on it's help in this department.

In the mean time.....

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can learn to isolate these muscles without any aid?

The PC muscles are tricky to isolate, especially if you've had kids! I found when I was first starting out with kegels, that just resting my finger near my vagina (whether on my clit, outer lips, or even inserted) was enough of a trigger for me. As long as I can tell that I'm not just pulling in other muscles.

I think it just takes a lot of focus, concentration and patience, honestly. I've also heard that visualizations help, though I wouldn't personally know this from experience.

Though, there's absolutely nothing wrong with needing an insertable. Some people just do, just like some people need a trainer when they go to the gym.

Thanks for the tips, new motto, "I can do It" lol. Hopefully after using the pleasure system for a while, my muscles will strengthen and I will be able to isolate my pelvic muscles without it.

That's exactly how you can test for your PC muscles, though it's strongly advised not to do this regularly, as you can cause Urinary Tract Infections, which can turn into kidney infections if not treated effectively and efficiently.

Using your finger to touch the outside of your vaginal opening will give you a good idea of when you are tensing your PC muscles or not. Also, if you aren't squeamish about your lady bits, you can use a mirror to see what's going on. Usually you can see the opening move when you are doing proper kegels. Hope that helps!

I always read articles on this and have trouble sometimes with understanding it. I wonder if an exerciser will help me as well...

I usually do them when I go to the bathroom, that's how I know their getting stronger, but I still do them all day long, that's just to test how well I'm doing.
