Maybe bring them here to the website to talk about what they don't like about sex toys? Talk about what wouldn't be ok (we don't do lifelike toys, for example). Maybe you can find something with which they would be ok and you can start there.

If I'm not mistaken AlaskanBeauty is lesbian - so her SO would be a woman. That detail aside - some see sex toys as a sign that they are somehow inadequate - this is not a very good forum for self-esteem issues - but I'll take a shot at it...

We crossed this Rubicon when we changes our orientation from sex as romance to sex as play. When we got over the romance aspect of sex and made it into our play time - then toys became a natural fit. When people play - it's either with games (role play) or toys (vibes, dildos, etc.) and that makes the interaction fun i.e. play!

Next time you are going to have sex why not pick out a small non threatening toy and start using it on yourself? Maybe your SO will see how much you like it and want to try too. You could also stop using it and ask your SO to use it on you. Let your SO know it is important to you that their experiencing physical pleasure is important.
