So I got my first ever rabbit vibrator. I wanted one with pearls, and I guess that means only jelly or TPR, so you can feel the pearls. Jelly stings me, so I chose a TPR one, and it and I finally arrived at the same place today---only to have my period start.

This is actually my first porous toy (except for the jelly monstrosity I threw away as an 18-year-old after it stung me, and except for the clit pump, but that doesn't get messy). So I'm ... totally at a loss.

How do you ladies cope with this? Do you use a condom? Do you just let your toys take on a new color? (This one is totally clear, by the way). How frustrating, I want to be stirred up like cake batter without staining my new toy!

I use nonporous toys on my period, porous toys are only for the rest of the month.

You can use a Instead period cup and to feel safer also use a condom.

I usually just use a clit toy and don't penetrate when I'm on my period so there's really not much of a mess to worry about. I have a couple of cheaper clit toys that I consider my "period toys" so they aren't one's that I would be too dissapointed if they did get dirty somehow.

What a frustrating situation to be in! If it were me, I'd probably either wait or use a condom. I guess it wouldn't really matter so much though really, especially if you wash it right away. It would just be a matter of how much it would gross you out to stain your toy. I don't think it would gross me out to stain it a little. My DivaCup is a little bit discolored (even though it's 100% silicone), and it doesn't bother me.

We have sexual relations on my period, but I have never put a toy in there during my period...it would seem rather messy. Never have wanted to. Hubby cleans up fine in the shower...no discoloration.

I think I would mind myself, but I also think I'm going to do a video review of it... so I'm thinking I'm going to wait it out this week Don't want to gross anyone else out!

My main porous toy is Silky and I always use condoms with him. I try not to use him with partners who have their period, but sometimes it just works out that way. I wash him asap afterwards. It's never affected his color.

I'm stuck...I mostly use plastic toys on my period, but if I used porous, I'd hate putting a condom over it for my period!
