Try to use an enema with warm water before starting anal...I'd say do it an hour before back-door sex. It should help...

Tere's NO WAY to avoid poo...it's the ass!
Even if you use an enema, there could still be poo, so if you want the ass, you have to learn to accept the poo too.
I'd advice you to keep a black towel and some baby wipes nearby and for the love of God, tell your girl-friend you love her even if there is poo.

As Newcouple has said above, there will always be -something- in there, the rectum is made of porous tissue, so there's no way to clean it entirely. Have her use the bathroom beforehand, clean herself in the shower, and try an enema if you like. Condoms also make cleanup nice and easy!

Remember - lube is your friend! The butt does not produce natural lubricant the way the vagina does, and if you go at it without adding some of the slippery stuff, you risk discomfort and possibly injury to your gal. I recommend a good high-quality lubricant, something silicone based is even better because it will last longer than water-based.

As long as you poop when your body tells you to, everything should be fine. An enema will clean out what's left in your rectum, but I've found it pretty unnecessary actually. I really enjoy anal sex and do it at least 3 times each week, and have never really seen anything on the condom afterwards. Remember that the poo isn't stored in your rectum. The only time there is poo there is when you are going to the bathroom (unless you are super constipated and then it's time to see a doctor).

I think a good sexy shower before hand is all that is needed to keep things clean, and a condom of course. It isn't nearly as icky down there as people assume it is. There will always be something in there, but it's not like you'll probably even be able to see it. Anal sex without a condom really isn't a good idea; don't want to risk a UTI. An enema will clean the rectum out more thoroughly, but it isn't needed.

If you don't like the idea of an enema, a glycerin suppository (glycerin, not ducolax suppository) works fast and you don't have to lie on your side till it works. Takes under 15 minutes to produce a good evacuation.

I do not do anything prior, but I have a regular bowel movement in the morning, and if i have eaten something crazy or am not regular i will avoid anal. Fortunately we have not had a mess or any speck of feces that we can see show up! i was surprised the first few times because i was afraid of poo, but toys and my hubby come out clean(at least to the eye) we still obviously clean after. I eat pretty healthy and have lots of fiber which helps with regular normal bowel movements. Metamucil before bed can help get on a regular track.

If you do a proper enema, there shouldn't be anything in your ass to cause a problem.
I have never had any shit issues when I have performed an enema!!!
I absolutely HATE there being any shit - it just turns me right off the play ... ruins the moment so I always go to the toilet even up to 8hrs beforehand or do an enema and I don't have any issues.
Ok, on the odd time you may get a teeny speck but it's so small there won't be any smell.

You'll just have to try it personally cause some people may not be able to clean out properly so may not work for them. But you don't see shit in the anal porn dvds. Or at least I never have so must work for them too.

I do my enemas at least 2 - 3 hrs before anal. They say an enema can take up to 3hrs to totally expel so recommend you don't need to go out in that time frame just in case. But you'll get to know what your time frame is if you choose to perform one.

Just make sure it's pure water and not too big. If it's water then the remaining water should be absorbed into the body within a couple of hours.

Another advantage is after cleaning out I find that the lube lasts longer. The water in the enema also dilutes the naturally present mucous, and it (A) is slicker than it otherwise would be and (b) doesn't grab water from the lube as much.
