Cosmo's steamy sex games - adult game discontinued by The Editors of Cosmopolitan - review by Lucy

They say first impressions last, and with Cosmo's Steamy Sex Games, that's definitely not a bad thing. On receiving this parcel, I was immediately intrigued. The hot pink box promised "lots of hot scenarios," which sounded like lots of fun to me. The packaging is fun and funky, and I couldn't wait to see what was inside.

The cool magnetic flap opens to reveal an introduction to "The Devilish Dozen" - that is, twelve couples-only bedroom games, which are:

  - Dirty Truth or Dare - which is where you put all of the cards in this category into a bowl or box, then take turns to pick one, asking your partner "truth or dare?" It's very similar to the playground game, with the exception of what you have to answer and do! Sexy truths include spilling the beans on naughty fantasies, and dirty dares involve removing underwear; using only teeth!

  - Sexy Scavenger Hunt - ideal for food lovers! This game involves partners taking turns to blindfold each other, and search out and identify food scraps placed in differing places on each other's bodies! Saucy!

  - Call of the Wild - an interesting take on the Kama Sutra. Six cards have on one side, a picture and description of a sexual position, the other side carries its name. One partner picks a card and reads the description - no peeking at the other side! If they can correctly identify the name of the move they get to choose the position for the evening, and it doesn't have to be the one on the card. If they're wrong, their lover gets to choose the position. Everyone's a winner, because either way you're going to have some hot fun!

  - A Night of Naughty Adventure - this is exactly as the name states. You have a series of five cards and you must complete the activities on each one. An index card tells you all the props you will need for the evening, and each card gets gradually more risqué. The card advises putting aside an entire evening for this sex play, but I'd say book the following day off work too; you're going to need the extra sleep!

  - Finish the Fantasy - as a creative type, I really had fun with this one. Four cards list the beginning of a fantasy. One partner chooses a card and reads it aloud, then comes up with a hot ending, with the help of their lover if they so wish. The best part is after you've come up with all those sexy ideas, you get to act them out! An excellent way to spice up an evening!

  - Dicey Discovery - as the name suggests, you'll need a set of dice. A key card has numbers corresponding to what you've rolled with the dice, which in turn have the name of a body part. Once you've rolled the dice and decided your body part, your partner chooses a random card and they have to act out what's on the card. You'll need discipline to keep the game going though, because after a few goes you'll be so aroused you'll want to get down to business!

  - Titillating Trivia - a quiz game with a difference! Choose a card from the pile and read the question to your other half. If they answer correctly, they receive the reward, if not, then they are punished with the penalty! Time to brush up on your partner's needs and wants!

  - Get Him Hot Game - a set of cards which contain a set of erogenous zones. The guy chooses a card without peeking and his lovely lady has to act out what is on the card. The idea is to see how many acts she can go through before he's begging for mercy! An excellent way to give your man a night of passion he'll never forget!

  - The Cosmo Carnal Challenge - a challenge with bags of pleasure for both parties! Put your cards in a bowl or box. Then choose one (no looking!) and carry out the instructions. Once you have completed it, choose another card and then remember what you have to do; but you can't do it until the next day! Then once you've done that naughty deed, you have to go through it all again! A fantastic way to spread the eroticism and anticipation over a long period of time.

  - Daring Dice - another dice game, this time the pleasure is all for the lady. You'll also need a timer. Similar to the previous game, a number rolled corresponds to one on the card. Your man must then carry out what it tells him to on the card, with a cruel twist! After three minutes he must stop what he's doing, then roll again and act on the next card! A really naughty and teasing way of getting you both ready and gagging for each other.

  - Sexy Tarot Cards - a different version of tarot cards. There is a sexy twist though; some of the cards have a "Try This Tonight" order which guarantees you some sexy fun!

  - A Week of Passion Prop Play - probably best to book a week's vacation off work before you start this section. This is a game that invents wonderful uses for all sorts of unusual items around the home. You'll never quite look at the oven mitt in the same way again!

Overall, this is some seriously sexy fun! You'll have a good laugh playing the various games, and of course some very hot sex. Also, you'll probably discover some things about your partner that you didn't know and hopefully it will bring you closer, and make your sex life all the more adventurous! I'd definitely recommend this - what a great way to bring fresh ideas into a relationship.
