Heart shaped ice cubes tray by California Exotic is a cute way to add a little something to a drink. The tray is a seven inch pink plastic tray that has two large hearts that are 2 inches in size, four medium hearts that are 1 ½ inches, and six small hearts that are 1 inch in size for a total of twelve hearts. The pink plastic is easy to clean; just wash it in hot water and a mild soap.

Initially, when I received the tray, I cleaned it and filled it with water. It only took an hour or so to freeze and once it was frozen, I emptied it and refilled it. By the time hubby got home, I had enough frozen to fill several glasses. At first, he didn't even notice the cubes but when he did, he started laughing and commented on how cute they were. He loves to chew ice and these hearts were the perfect size for him to munch on.

Several days later, I made some jello shots and used these trays to let them set up. I wasn't sure how they would turn out of the tray but surprisingly enough they popped out without problems. It did take several trays to get the whole mixture set up but it only took about an hour to set up. The larger hearts were a little harder to get out without them tearing up but with a little patience they came out.

I also tried them with instant pudding and although they did set up with the pudding, it was almost impossible to get them out without them tearing up. I tried different time allowances for them to set up before removing them but nothing seemed to help with them not falling apart.

This is an inexpensive tray with multiple possibilities. They are cute heart shaped cubes that can add some fun to any situation. They would be great to use for wedding parties, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, or just for an evening with your special someone.

I have used these trays several times and am pretty pleased with their function. The only thing I have not gotten them to do is set up pudding enough that I can get it out with out tearing up the hearts. The description also stated that they can make candies but I have not tried this with the trays.

I have used this ice tray several times to make ice. It has also done fine with Jello, but even after spraying the tray with Pam, pudding still continues to stick to it. It is still a fun tray to use and play with. The only thing I can think of that would make it better, is if more than one tray came in a pack. It takes a long time to make enough ice cubes to fill a couple of glasses.
